Bethmora - try being faster, much much faster at the very beginning of the level. By the time they start attacking you, you should have a good numbers advantage. Prioritize taking their cells from them at that point. I wish I could help you - I love this type of game.

The game respects true Zerg passion. If you want a speed approach instead of strength, use: hypR, leeB, cooK, fasT, agiY, adaF, repN, alfP, micE, runR, incR, speD, lovE, & powR. This leaves more than enough space for whatever colors you want and you'll be able to finish almost every level within 70 seconds.

No, this is absolutely no fun.. no chance if you start.. if you try to get many, you'll overrun, if you try to get as many places as possible, you'll get overran. At first I thought it would be fun, but no matter what strategy I try, the computer is always so fast, that I cannot react in a proper way.. especially hard because you cannot see how hard a level might be..

Here's a little tip: When you have bacteria and another cell beside eachother send cells into the bacteria, and then back into the neighboring cell, this will multiply the cell count by 2, due to the double strength. Easy way to dominate the whole game :D

okay so at the end the email basically says we are going to see others like ourselves and be competing against them sooooooooooooo where is phage wars 3 or live or multiplayer?

nicE gamE, i likE the upgS for the vruS and the styE thaT makS you thnK how to plaC theM (THis comment gave my virus full speed and agility)

You used to be able to farm components and get multiple of the same characteristic. Now you can't. That sucks. -1 star

two tips: 1-if you refresh the page, you can play a level again and get the gene again. Very fun post-game because the last level (replayed again after bonel prize) gives you Jack of all Trades, +2 to all stats.
2- if a level has a white blood cell and no bacteria (x2 damage), you can't lose if you hold the white blood cell with maxed defense and reproduction. The final level is actually unloseable even if an enemy holds *all* cells with the starting white blood cell w/ maxed reproduction and defense. But overall, always max defense, reproduction, and strength.

o my god i beat the game before i realized i could place genes in all of those lines.... i though they were all for 1 virus not for the same one xD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i just went speed reproduction and agility and went about 1 level per minute. Just seize the important cells, then every possible empty cell, then use numbers to overwhelm.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
have strenght full, defence almost full and reproduction almost full, and defence cell bust, my numbers went up when the AI attacked me with alot of cells

Here's an idea for a sequel: We create another virus to counter that virus, which could be considered a cure I guess.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@x3dfritz2010 Literally the opposite of that is what you actually want to do. Spread out. Reproduction is the strongest stat. I don't care if you take over my starting cell, because after you poured all your resources into capturing 1 cell, I grabbed 5 for free. Now I'm growing nearly 3 times as fast as you and if you come after me again I'm just going to take more neutral cells and stack that advantage.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
nice game. 2 ez if you build srt, def, and rep. take the special cells first and get all the neutral cells as fast as posibl. in the firsts levels take the bigger cells. they reproduce more your virus
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The secret to success is speed. Go fast, if possible your first move should be to literally move all from your starting cell to overtake their starting cell, from their gain ground as fast as possible focusing on x2 repro cells and x2 strength. Easy after that :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game can be challenging if you put lots of points in speed and agility since most people cant click extremely fast, rather putting all points in strength, defense and then reproduction seem to almost break the game as far as balance.

SUGGESTION: dont make the color a upgradeable make it a choice that way we dont feel as if we need to remove them to make room for real upgrades
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A lot of people are recommending upgrades. I think the best is nothing at all. It keeps the game challenging, but it is winnable. Remember to funnel as many viruses as you can through the double attack cells.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
speed and agility (+rep) are very good for the levels leading up to metazoa, because if you can take control of the cancer cells or the strength cells first, by getting there faster, youve won the game. those levels really make the combination shine. but, as LionforZion mentions, strength and defense (+rep) make you a dominating power, period. once you get to metazoa, any speed that you have isnt necessary to win (but metazoa levels make speed and agility fun traits to have as your virus zooms back and forth on screen)
:)

Well, as other reviewers have amply noted, this is far, far too easy beyond the very first experiment. The game cannot handle more than even a few upgrades on the player's side, especially in the realm of brute force. It's a *blast* to play, an awesome idea for a game, and very well executed; it just needs to be balanced. We need to be competing against *other* unstoppable, potentially apocalyptic viruses towards the end. Instead, one begins to feel like a bully on a playground. 5/5 (if it's this fun and there are no bugs, I'll 5 just about anything).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is almost too easy. Once I got a lot of reproduction, speed, and agility, massive white swarms just flew across the screen, overwhelming everything in its path. Rep, spd, and agi are the best traits to have, definitely.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Possible glitch? During a longer battle, I've noticed that using the 2x strength cells, you can send them back and forth between a different cell and 2x strength to build up units very fast. Speed and Agility for this will make this devastating.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I was about to give a positive comment on the difficulty... but then I discovered I have to use the traits I obtain. I thought they were automatically applied kek.

For an extra challenge once you complete the game:
"Survival mode"
Occupate only two cells (or one) and survive until all the cells have been taken over by the enemy virus.
If there are multiple viruses, survive until the viruses fight each other and one takes over all cells. (only THEN can you wreak havoc upon them)
It's a bit harder than it sounds and is also quite fun.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the AI needs to be improved. they should prioritize which cells they go after. Anyone knows that going after x2 strength or rep. is better than a regular cell. also, the AI stats dont go up that much if at all as you progress through the game. I was expecting their rates to be at least 70%. The highest one didn't even hit 50% most of the time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Also, some people think this is way too easy and some people think it is way too hard. Tip For "Way-too-hard: Spread out as fast as possible in the beginning.
