For an extra challenge once you complete the game:
"Survival mode"
Occupate only two cells (or one) and survive until all the cells have been taken over by the enemy virus.
If there are multiple viruses, survive until the viruses fight each other and one takes over all cells. (only THEN can you wreak havoc upon them)
It's a bit harder than it sounds and is also quite fun.

the AI needs to be improved. they should prioritize which cells they go after. Anyone knows that going after x2 strength or rep. is better than a regular cell. also, the AI stats dont go up that much if at all as you progress through the game. I was expecting their rates to be at least 70%. The highest one didn't even hit 50% most of the time.

Also, some people think this is way too easy and some people think it is way too hard. Tip For "Way-too-hard: Spread out as fast as possible in the beginning.

Also, a funny exploit, if you have Strength x2 cells in the game, you can move cells back and forth from strength to a regular cell to rapidly boost your total cells.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game really isn't that hard... Just capture as many cells as possible as quickly as possible then bide your time. You can beat the game in under an hour.

Is awesome. Like someone said, grab as much cells as possible in the beginning. If the AI has a really powerful cell, then click on a bunch of yours to have them attack together.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nicely put together but I found this game far too easy. The mechanics just require you grab as much real estate as possible at the start. Then you win. But the AI doesn't exploit this. A balance for this found in some other cell games is to put neutral defenders on unclaimed cells.

spam speed, move out quickly to have more cells which means more reproduction in general then just take back any cells which are attacked as soon as possible to maintain your advantage.

booM, layZ, micE, desT, defE, incR, strH, xdyA, musL, walL, irnC, and you get max strength, defence, and reproduction, plus theres enough space left over you can use all or any of the three colorants. XD hope this helps.

I used strength/reproduction with a side of speed/defense. The game becomes EASIER as you progress. You don't need agility or giant genes that don't increase your total stats.

my winning strategy was: defE, desT, musL, repN, lovE, walL, xdyA, leeB, runR, hngY, micE and tanK. my color was back. experiments were over in seconds.

I like it but I find when there are two other viruses besides urs one is aggressive and the other just kind of waits so ur both weak and then takes u out which can be extremely annoying
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is hell. This is the closest thing to hell that I can think off. It's like turning on the lights only for a bunch of annoying shitheads to turn it off again. There's nothing even remotely funny about that.
This is hell. This is awful.

I ended up going full glass cannon and doing speed/strength/reproduction. No contest. Most experiments were over in seconds. GG

Lol, I didnt even know you can "upgrade" your viruses until halfway through the game. Was already pretty easy and after that i just feel god moded lol.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game, the ability to upgrade your virus is really good, but it is somewhat to easy. When you go for REP in combination with 2 other stats, you will win, even without some real thought of strategy. I think the AI needs some bonus (more starting units/higher stats) to make the game more interesting.

Way too easy. If you are not convinced, or you think it's just a small unbalance, try this: remove all the genes and try the last level. You will realize that is more or less the expected difficulty of a "last level".
