Bloxorz, even if it's "easy" to finish the challenge with tons of practice and full stops between shifts, the game crashing and stalling out during the challenge still greatly reduces the fun.
With such an annoying bug, I only rated it 3/5.

Gawd, no wonder this game has some of the least acquired badges on Kongregate. You took a great concept like the "Shift" series and then took a diarrhea-dump all over it by giving being a damn Nazi about the controls and imposing a ridiculous time limit. Don't screw with a good thing Armor Games. Why do I need to keep telling you that?

It's no problem stungun lol all you have to do is know the 3 rooms and its easy to finish with like 10 to 14 seconds left even if you come to complete stops before you shift. LOL at noffmaster, you cant be serious it's not that hard to hit the Ctrl key and the use of three characters made the puzzle even more fun, the thinking in puzzles IS the fun. If thinking isn't fun then maybe popping balloons or some game that requires an IQ the square root of minus one is more the order of the day lol. My self, I loved the complexity of the rooms and the hidden stuff and the Shift song at the end. More Shift PLEASE. If the programmers have run out of ideas please contact me, I have a few you can use for free for Shift 5. Play Momiga, Left Right March, Run by player-03, Don't Look Back by Terry Cavanagh. All great games guys.

Worst of the series. Poor choice in the new mechanic of controlling two characters--too much thinking, not enough entertainment.

Okay, you know what's not fun? Random crashes when you try to shift into the black in the 2-minutes area, that seem to trigger if you shift either too soon after shifting into the white, or if you're trying to shift without coming to a complete stop. I don't have the time to slow down while playing that stage -- I'm all about hurrying to beat the 2 minute time limit. I'm running the game in Google Chrome, OS is Windows XP.

I love all the Shift games. This one being my favorite. The developer also made Heir (another game I love). The developer is beast.

The typical Shift-player is a human being full of patience and calmness. That's why your 2-minutes-level scratched our feelings. But the end song was worth the chivvy.

For all of those who has/had problems in chapter 1 of trying to go from lvl 2 to lvl 9, go back to room 1. You can't reach room 9 until chapter 2. I had the same confusion.

I love all of the shift games but this one doesn't have the same atmosphere to me, however I do love some of the new features like the new character that plays with you and cutscenes.

Why challenge says i have 2 minutes to explore 3 rooms but i only have 1 minute 54 seconds? I lost it only because of that!

Well well well. Another great Shift game ! Overall rather easy. Just the 2 minutes challenge is a bit harder. But really enjoyable game.

I have played and loved every shift game, I have beaten them in achievement time, and I must say, they get progressively worse. The switching characters was clever but horribly executed.
