@hockey90 the mouse cursor IS the magnet.
I thought surely I could afford to upgrade just the droplet and the nail. $180 short on repairing at the end of day 11.

Congratulations! You just won the Consumer Restraint Badge and 30 points! All you have to do is buy is Artillery... Upgrade nothing else!

I think this is a great game. If there is a sequel, you should be able to buy weapons not unlocking them. There could also be a free play mode where you have all the weapons. You would also have all the upgrades. After you fully repair the ship in expert mode you would sail away from and the island and fend off sea creatures for about five levels and then you would win.I think this is a very good game.

why are people complaining they cant make it under 11 days? just upgrade the rusty nail and buy artillery to defeat the golems and the rusty nail to pop the big balloons thats it.from there just save your money and you will get the hard badge.

Hard badge guide:
1. Only buy the artillery for those red golems and the gold nail for the floating balloons.
2. After buying those two upgrades, just repair as soon as you can.
3. I was able to repair my ship within 11 days with no enemies hitting my ship.
Tips:
1. Cage the birds when they are above large groups of enemies! The bombs they drop do as much damage as your artillery, so instead of spending $20, cage the birds at the right moment! (bird's bomb can't hit the floating balloons, which is why you should upgrade your nail to make your life easier)
2. Get the fast moving units first such as the red flames that fly.

For those who are bugged and don't see the magnet, it's the menu option one left of the rusty spoon. Click on it then click/drag/toss the rollerballs to the water.

why do people complain about the "dosent tell you the day" cuz it does when you are playing there is a lil sun moving under that is the day...

easy hard dont level up anything and buy only artillery on the 11 day repair 3 times and repair when you can ya naoow

First time I tried I did BlackWaltzXs guide. Failed. So then I just bought the artillery and nothing else and beat it with 11,000 or so left. (You can use the bombs on the air balloons)

made it with about $300 to spare, but without buying the water upgrade and ship at 50% health... guess I got lucky :D

if you press tab untill its over the desired upgrade then press space...taa daa u get the upgrade even without the money!!
