In mission 6, i was about to win, no soldiers in sight and in mid trench, all my men, 6 squads in all, one stepped on a mine, 5 squads died, 1 squad with red hp left

word of advice: just buy assault. Honestly they are the best units in the game. Since you are always trying to get to their side of the field, you will always have to attack trenches so their grenades are the best for that scenario. If you are fighting a tank, then the assault's grenade are the best for that (except for mortars/anti tank but you can upgrade those separately). Even in open field and trenches they do well considering how specialized they are. The easiest way to win this game is to bum rush the germans so that you gain as many trenches as possible before they get a chance to more up their troops. Assaults can take any introductory forces in trenches easily and can mostly defend themselves in trenches themselves (for as long as it takes for more troop reinforcements). In the end, it doesn't even matter if you spawn a tank at the last mission because they're tank will be easily destroyed by anti tank/mortar rounds so not spawning a tank will actually give you an advantage.

there needs to be away to call off fire support. i just lost the battle even though i was ahead because i called in artillery to take out the tank and once the tank was destroyed 4 of my squads moved forward and got killed by friendly fire support which depleted morale causing them to surrender.

the ai is pretty smart on hard- it knows the only way to ensure no team ever beats the other is to spam poison gas as quick as it is charged -_-

Amazing game, but morale shouldn't drop so low. when the enemy is shelling your trench, the morale makes it harder to win the round. XP should also be gained when you lose, but becuase you lost, it should be half of the XP you would normaly gain. Click plus if you want a second game! 9/10

When get a tank, send it right away. It takes a while to deploy it, and in the beginning of a battle everything is ready to go.

Cool game but the moral ruins the experience.
Plus the fact that all a trooper can do is charge (even in his own gaz), except if there is a trench, ruins any possibility of strategy. And tanks were invented to roll over trenches, not wait in front of it.

That moment when your soldiers reach the end of the opponent's territory and the opponent spawns a bunch of riflemen. Of course, your forces will get mixed up, and when your soldiers shoot straight forward it kills an enemy behind them.
