Never in my life have I ever seen men just be like "Its too crowded in here, lets run straight into mortars, gas, machine guns, snipers, and tanks. Sure we will be killed on the spot, and sure we will give up because our morale will go into a freefall, but hey, at least were not crowded in this trench!"

I don't understand how I can have more kills than the enemy, hold all the trenches, be three steps away from covering the whole screen, and then lose from morale suddenly

After three minutes of brutal fighting, the battlefield was scarred beyond recognition. In place of trees, there were tank carcasses. Instead of grass, the bloody dead. In fact, there was but one survivor: a demoralized British rifleman who singlehandedly captured the German lines. Good on that soldier.

The Germans had tanks to kill off my men, fire support to fend off my tanks, reinforcing soldiers and they surrender to one guy on their territory.

Custom Battle: 2 trenches, many mines, a whole crudload of barbed wire, no fire support. "Ok men, wait for them to charge; it'll be easier for us then. Wait for it... wait for it..." *17 hours, 9 Coca-Colas, 12 coffees, 2 5-Hour-Energies later* "Wait for it.... Wait for ittttt....."

The game is great, but I think the Morale could be improved... Sometimes you destroy the enemy tank and kill a lotsa enemies, and your morale barely moves, then you lose your tank and your men surrender... Other thing that could be improved is allowing the player to control the movement of the troops, like don't letting them rush into a poison gas, or allowing you to fall back, creating new strategies!

Keep upgrading fire support apart from gas. Then you can tear enemy tanks to shreds and devastate enemy infantry too. Attack with 3 units at the same time and have the attack start as soon as you have started firing on the enemy with all available fire support.

okay...The gas seems to be strange, when someone walks into it they instantly die, right? So when my men were cheering for thier victory of a long battle, gas was fired into a trench where some of my soldiers where, somehow victory cheering makes them immune to the gas, gentlemen...we've found a way past the gas...We must make a cheering infantry immediately.

Keep using gas to win. Kills enemy soldiers instantly but doesn't affect tanks. When they deploy a tank just use fire support to destroy it. Won mission 8 that way without losing my first tank. Oh, and upgrade your fire support so that it has a lower deployment time.

I just lost with full morale and my trench filled with 3 squads. I can honestly say that was the dumbest loss I've ever had and I don't even know why.

I notice the British soldiers sometimes say "fall back". What is this "fall back" they speak of? I've never seen it before.

the moral algorithm really needs to be reviewed... if I'm in the last trench closing in on the enemy, brought down three tanks, with men still in my trenches, it makes no sense to surrender.

"Shoot! I didn't mean to click on artillery strike! No matter, I'll just send out my troops and then select the blasting area." *Click. "NOOOO!!!" By the way, would be nice if there was a deselect for artillery barrages.

So I guess this is the moment where I stop getting shinies, or kongpanions in general. Supernova SWF Enabler will not play this game. Nor on browser, nor on a separate window. Other games work on separate windows, but I cannot get their achievements this way. I guess this is truly the point where Kongregate dies. If you have any idea on how can I play games here and still get the achievements, please tell me. I'm dying to know.

For those having trouble with this game; a very valid strategy is to ignore infantry upgrades and put every point into fire support upgrades (Make sure to get ressuply and barrage of fire asap). Take a defensive stance, just use lewis gunners and/or regular infantry to defend your first trench, when the trench is full, don't get any additional reinforcements yet, they will just die and decrease your morale) Keep bombarding the enemy with everything you have and watch their morale break. When in control, try to take an additional trench with assaults and a tank or 2, then secure it with lewis gunners. Works like a charm :)
