played a custom battle against a hard AI, i was playing as German, i dont know if this is a bug but even when there was only rifleman, with no officers to call artillery, suddenly i see a big explosion destroy 2 squads of infantry, and soon after i see that red cross of incoming airstrike, that reduced other 2 squads from the other side to ashes, i was retaking the ground but the enemy did it again, and again, and again, after like half an hour i just quit lol

After playing the WW I version, this WW II version doesn't give me the feel of WW II. Though I'm not sure what '1917' reminded me of.
I don't know about the only one squad behind one piece of cover complaint. I was able to get 3 behind one obstacle. Of course, the squads were depleted, or a small squad like a mortar or machine gun team.

Do not underestimate the power of using line after line of riflemen in the center lane when going against enemies without explosives (i.e., panzershreks and tanks). It is also beneficial to send entrenched lines over the barricade when an incoming line goes as well. this is extremely effective when combined with assault teams. Using this technique with a tank flanking the enemies practically guarantees victory. I used this last technique on the last stage in the hardened campaign and won without even losing the tank. Upvote if this helps!

Seems like a slighty worse version of 1917 since you cant even have more than one squad at a barricade and the lack of commands for your units

For the panzer level, send out infantry on one flank, assault on the other, and an officer behind. Three air strikes per tank.

The Armor Convoy mission is dumb af... it takes way to long for the bazooka teams to get their asses out there... plus when the tanks are close to your side, they kill your units before they even get on the screen.

I don't get the point in using snipers, machine guns, or mortars when you can just throw a bunch of infantry and assault at the enemy with tanks killing everything in the way, with an officer in the back to occasionally call support to kill enemy tanks. It presents these troop options like they're legitimate when most of the time my machine gunners do a piss poor job defending anything, and the mortar kills enemies so infrequently compared to the rate the enemy soldiers get called in it's like using a water dropper to stem the flow of a waterfall. There are never any good spots where snipers have any decent cover that's within their range of an enemy encampment, what usually happens is that my sniper will get in position, then dies as the enemy reacts by marching the infantry forward and immediately replaces them with another unit because their resource points are insane, apparently.

The tank levels are such crapshoots. If their tank kills your bazookas before they kill the tank, you instantly lose.

I'm not sure I like how a few missions in, you can't get experience from defeating enemies anymore. Coupled with the absence of a "redistribute points" function, you're just screwed if you made the wrong choices. 3/5.

You know when the game is win, when you got 2 mortars on each path
bombarding the enemy.I don't know why they don't run off.
