After playing the WW I version, this WW II version doesn't give me the feel of WW II. Though I'm not sure what '1917' reminded me of.
I don't know about the only one squad behind one piece of cover complaint. I was able to get 3 behind one obstacle. Of course, the squads were depleted, or a small squad like a mortar or machine gun team.

But 1 thing I noticed, the insignia for the Lieutenant on the US side is really a Captain insignia in real life. Just saying, but still 5/5.

an excellent game....much better than 1917, mainly because the tanks make more sense here than in the 1917 one.....the trenches made no sense with tanks

they really desperately need move out/stand ground/retreat buttons cuz all they do iz get themselves killed at diff times, which destroys the strategy

@Battlecock, you honestly think that america lost more lives then russia, whos whole military strategy was "charge the enemies or we kill you". russia lost more people then any other 2 nations combined. also, you dont seem to relise the germans didnt want the russians getting to berlin so they had most of their men on the eastern front in an effort to prevent the russians from reaching berlin. and, america had a higher population then either canada OR the UK, along with the fact the the UK and canada were in the war longer so they had less men TO loose by the time we landed at normandy

Great game but the hardened difficulty is messed up. It seems there is no way to win unless you do so within the first minute at times. The enemy just keeps massing up troops when the shouldnt be able to. Still a great game.

That final level was insane! Well done, and I laughed out loud when I won. I had one rifleman left alive, and he was in a mad dash for the mid lane when a heavy machine gunner came out. Lobbed a nade, down he went, and won it.

Is it normal that, on difficult setting, the tanks act like they have a automatic machine-multishot-barrel? One tank can take down fife of my squads in less time, that they can even get a scratch on the armor?

I don't quite understand why is deploying more squads than the enemy a positive aspect. Theoretically, he who use less forces than the enemy and wins is stronger in tactics.

How can you "command" suicidal troops who are programmed to run face first into enemy fire? What's the plan? Who's in charge here? Captain Zapp Brannigan: "Stop exploding, you cowards!"

" Sir ! HQ says we gotta get outta here 'cuz the village have like 50 tanks " - Soldier. " Private, do you see a "fall back" button ? NO ! Now, get to the damn line ! ". - Lieutenant.

The AI cannot cheat, actually. The enemy getting more guys behind cover is an element of the game that adds difficulty - deal with it. War isn't fair.
