BOSS RUSH STRATAGIES: Super Shellbreaker: Stick to the right wall, and he'll almost never hit you. Just hit him until he dies. Vis Vires: Stay inbetween them and constantly fire upwards. Moving left and right to stay inbetween them while firing upwards will cause you to fire at their weak spots, defeating them easily. Time Cube: Move to the opposite corner from him, then shoot him when he comes down beside you, and repeat. Do the same thing to the additional cubes he sends out. Sun Snail: Counter his wave attack with your own, and gravity jump to avoid his homing missiles. Omega Snail: When he's vunerable, attack him from above or below, depending on if he's on the floor or ceiling, respectively. His pellet spiral is easily dodgeable. When he shell rebounds, dodge by moving left, right, or jumping. Dodge his sleep attack by quickly gravity jumping between the left and right walls. Rate up to keep visible!

I like most of the game except for the last boss he was hard enough in the first phase but he is still too over powering in the second even if you have all of the upgrades.

its a great game but i dont really like how different the control of snaily is once you get gravity jump. Sometimes i enter a new screen and just shoot across to the other side cause im accidentally facing the wrong direction.

Dear auriplane,
Your game is awesome. The secrets are well-hidden and rewarding. The difficulty curve is pitch-perfect, with unlockable challenges that are actually worth playing. The retro feel is spot-on. ***The controls are customizeable.*** You clearly understand what makes action/adventure games fun.
You should collaborate with xdanond again. Story like Starwish + gameplay like Snailiad = a game I would pay money for.
Or, you know, just make a Snailiad sequel. Whatever.

The second boss was scary. xD And anyways... How to defeat 2nd boss: Aim boomerang toward the floor and KEEP ON FIRING! Avoid everything. Stay near the Nom Noms.

5 stars for many reasons. For one, it's a pixel games, and I absolutely love pixel games. It also has abilities, armour, and...well...A snail with a gun.

i sat and played the game while eating pizza, and couldn't help but to stick out my tongue at the snails and turtles who had none ^^

awesome game. One of the theme songs (I was in the pink colored area at the time) reminds me of an early theme from Final Fantasy 7. I know it was somewhere in Midgard, but I can't remember exactly where. Awesome game overall.

Metroid Fusion meets Flash... Super fun! Metroid was always a little too dark anyways. Snaily's cool, 'cause he has buddies, and some hoppin' beats! :)

Very good game, but i'm not sure if snails can shoot, talk and jump. I think only elephants can do it, witch lazer guns.

i rahter liked it (for as far as i played) and it has some VERRY good potential only minor point is that after a while you can get lost

very much a Metroidesque game. explore, upgrade weapons, get new armor and abilities, find collectibles, and find hidden passages. Oh plus the doors are pretty much the exact same as the ones in early Metroid games. That combined with those blue spikey enemies pretty much made me feel that this was Metroid with snails. Snails that shoot rainbows that is. 5/5

I wish the difficulty was curved better. The game is pretty easy until you get up to the area that is gray on the map, then at that point everything is doing ridiculous damage, and there's so many enemies, and it takes forever to kill things, and there's barely any grass to eat. It just jumps from holding your hand to being rage inducing in an instant.

When I saw "Snailiad" I was hoping for an epic war between two massive groups of snails that started because of a lady snail. But this is cool too...

Amazing game with comical dialogue, great music, and gameplay that's like silk to my fingertips. 5/5... Now, if only it had an auto-fire button. <3

The Gravity Shell made me stop playing. It's a cool game mechanic in theory, but now every time I approach a wall I'm not sure which way I'm going to fall/jump. It's too easy to fall continuously into enemies, traps, or bullets until you're dead. Amazing game, but that added frustration makes me give it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5.

*with friend plays game* "dude you should customize your controlls" "ikr"*custimizes* "WTF why are your contrls QFHI?" "Cuz i can have it like that =P" 5/5 cuz of custimizeable controlls

Snail: Take this pea shooter it's too dangeous if you don't *Snaily snail notices laser cannon* Snaily snail: can i have that? Snail: No no no, far to strong to use a laser cannon use the peashooter.

i loved almost all about the game. the only problem (and it's a very little one) is that some of the graphics have jaggies or mistakes in the pixel drawings (mostly in some linearts, like the line art of stompy)

Awesome game. If this was put on the NES, it would have easily been one of the top 10 games ever released for it. I don't understand why any 8 bit retro game is instantly labeled a ripoff. Loved this. A rare 5/5 and induction into my very exclusive fav list. You earned it.
