Maby there could be a prequel where you play as sun snail and go on an adventure that leads up to the point where he goes bad.

Auriplane, Elephant Quest may be made by my favorite developer, but it in no freaking way trumps Snailiad. In fact, I almost hate Elephant Quest compared to this and that it somehow did better, probably because of its huge glorifying Armor Games sponsorship >:( Sorry for the rant; and to all the people who like EQ more than I do, I said IN COMPARISON to Snailiad, in my opinion, EQ is next to nothing. I still enjoyed it though, which I admit can be hard to believe from what I stated. SAM642 got this out of me.

Jesus Christ, this game is so awesome. I'm using all my might not to cuss about how amazing it is. The graphics are constantly triggering some sort of nostalgia-pleasure complex in my brain, the music is well-thought-out and artistic, and the gameplay combines many of my favorite features from retro video games. PLUS, the main character is a snail, which is magical and wonderful. Thank you for bestowing this virtually perfect work of art upon the undeserving receptacle that Kongregate is.

Okay, I just must post this... Stompy is a lot easier than shooting diagonally. Just jump up and shoot your boomerangs left or right. Stompy will die before you could even kill the cannons.

Seems both you and Xdanond are fantastic at game creation. It merited a 5/5, yes, though this is a throwback to the 8-bit games, where as Starwish was a bit more modern. However, once again, very very impressive. Easily better than just about any other game here on Kong.

Adding to Visuna's comment: REMEMBER YOUR SHELL SHIELD SKILL ON THE LAST BOSS!!! You just shouldn't use the shell shield skill against a boss when it's not invulnerable, that is, on all the other bosses. If you forgot how to use your shell, press the arrow key corresponding to the gravity (like, if the gravity is normal (down) you press down to hide). Use it in every moment on the battle except for when the boss is vulnerable (duh). Really, using it makes it another really easy boss. Indeed, the only boss I found difficult was the 3rd (but that was probably messing up gravity changes because was trying to aim the weapon at the same time...).

My only complaint was that the shell doesn't block the sun snail's attacks. Really the only time I needed it, and it failed me. Still, amazing adventure overall.

@needo: have you gotten to the icy-looking part? when you go there, see the pink door? climb the wall above it to ind the secret passageway. theres something in there that will help you along.

Even though this game was released over 4 yrs ago, the developer bothered to come back and change the name of an npc snail from "Isis" to "Iris" simply to "avoid negative associations." This probably wasn't even necessary, but if it doesn't show his dedication to the game, then I don't know what does... 5/5 for being an exemplary person as well as a great dev.

I love this game! The secrets are enjoyable, the bosses are awesome, the music is great- I love everything about it! :D

Giga Snail: Ironically, this form is a lot easier. There's no strategy I can offer other than how you defeated the boss in the actual game mode, but I can give one tip. When the boss starts using rainbow wave, use gravity change to the wall OPPOSITE to the wall the boss is in. Since the boss can't hit to the ceiling, you can easily get free hits.
+1 if you find this helpful!

I'd like a button to be able to toggle the gravity shell off. It is fun being able to zoom across some screens quickly, but other times it is way too sensitive I think.

I really liked the "And You" bit at the end, and the Canon/Non-Canon really cracked me up. There should be a third one called Headcanon.

What do the names of the areas mean? They look very Latin. 'Cept for Snail Town, of course, that's obviously English.
