If you're suffering from laggy controls, that's something I complained to her about a while ago - and it's reassuring to hear it's become a common problem for everyone, and not just my copy of Firefox. Even when I've disabled all of my add-ons, it still responds poorly to keyboard input. I've switched to Chrome, and it is VASTLY better than Firefox. But if you get the weird bug like I did - where you can jump and fire, but cannot move/aim - then you'll need to use the Adobe Flash plugin, and disable the built-in Chrome plugin. Google "chrome disable flash version" and click the first link for instructions how to do so. And for the expert players, if you want to complete the platforming experience, and use a gamepad instead of the keyboard (Flash does not support gamepad input) google "JoyToKey" and install it - it remaps gamepad input to keyboard keys so you can play Flash games online with your gamepad instead.

Nice to see the increased traffic and commentary on this excellent game.
But I have to say, I really admire auriplane's patience in politely explaining to multiple players how to fix "problems" they've complained about (and possibly rated her game unfairly because of) when those problems are *clearly addressed* in the description.
If your screen is cut-off, you don't like the controls, you can't find the "Hard" mode, or you are losing your saved games, please read it!

it took me a combined 10 attempts to beat the Final Boss in story mode. Then I run into Boss Rush and kick it on first try. How does that even work!? Awesome game, loved it! 5/5

You can win every realtime action game without getting hurt, my main problam are propably the space snail controls. I keep accidently falling through the wall, which makes every damn monster respawn.

The late zones in the game are annoying and far too difficult. I can beat them of course, but losing 5hearts of life in as much as 10 seconds regardless of how careful you are. Also the space snail controls are a bit stupid, because they completely break your perception of ingame-physics.

Heh, beat moon snail right after encountering him, that was pretty easy. I had the most trouble with the damned cube since I for some reason never noticed toggle. >_<

could anyone else get to the highest snail house in the village without using the passage you can get to by blasting open the ceiling over the first save point?
I'm not sure what you mean by X and Y, but this game has configurable controls specifically because my European playtesters had different keyboard layouts. Feel free to set the controls to whatever you like!

It's sad that awesome games like this don't get rated high, but unoriginal tower games are the most highly rated games.

References I saw so far... The Map System = Metroid, The snail with the pea shooter = The old man in Zelda who gave the sword...
I've noticed some problems popping up with Flash keyboard controls in certain browsers since this game was published, like lag and such. If that was your problem, perhaps you could try another browser, such as Chrome? Or if you had stuck key combos, you could try setting custom controls (some keyboards lock out certain combinations of keys, and switching your keys can fix that). Of course, if you just don't like NES-style controls, then this game's not for you!
