Just use Simon's upgraded Cleansing first thing on the last boss, before Simon dies u can whittle him down to less than 400hp if you're both accurate and a little lucky. Then the boss is suddenly laughable.

The hit area is not where the needle is shown, but a bit biased to the right. Hitting after the needle makes way more damage than hitting before it.

When the Librarian said he was a member of the Order of the Seal, for a second I thought he meant the marine mammal... :3

Good game, but I would like to see more balance between the skills of the charecters. Flake seems quite OP, while the Macro, seems almost useless.

"The only thing to fear is fear itself... and lag, especially lag" great game, but you need a good internet for it to work well.

There is one major flaw that absolutely ruins this game on the hard difficulty. This is the fact that your characters don't heal to full upon starting a new chapter. Take note developers: if you ever put a player in a position where his only recourse (after an hour or two of gameplay) is to restart the entire game, you've done something horribly HORRIBLY wrong.

I've played this game at least 20 times and I can't believe I still haven't commented on it. This is probably my favorite game on Kongregate. Sure I'd prefer more points to spend sometimes but otherwise I love it. I only wish there was a sequel or another game done in this style of gameplay. It's so addictive! 5 Stars from me.

You know what I really like about this game? Is the fact that getting far, or beating an enemy, is more about skill then luck,HP, levels and other things you have 0 control over. I mean I love RPG's, but that's always been 1 thing I hate. A lot of the outcome depends on luck. Like getting lucky and doing a lot of damage, or the enemy missing, or a bunch of other factors that you can't do much about, which makes things a bit unfair. Also having to grind for hours to have enough HP or do enough damage, etc etc. In this, if you do horribly hitting your mark, you do less damage. If you manage to always hit close to 100%, you'll do a lot of damage. So it's much more about a players skill of timing, then blind luck or grinding.

How many perfect hits for the damn badge? I thought it said 1, your game isn't working. Just got the second 100% hit and yet still says I need 1.

Nice game, but some of the characters really do seem unbalanced. The detective and student have no healing abilities and relatively bland abilities.
P.S. Instead of 'Fear of Darkness' or 'Fear of Insects', call them Nyctophobia and Entomophobia, the official names for those fears. It sounds a lot cooler.

Loved the story, definitely something worth reading rather than a scroll of text. I loved the gameplay, namely because I'm playing at really early hours in the morning and don't really want to think. ;) But seriously, I really did like the customization.
And I definitely liked Last Flake. She's my favorite character in the game. :)

It sucks to get all the way to the last boss but have your characters health so low that you can't possibly beat the Ancient Fear.

TO DEFEAT HARD MODE ANCIENT FEAR: Max out the Librarian's Cleansing Light, as this skills' damage is based on the enemy's CURRENT % HP. Open the fight with a heal, then barrage the Ancient Fear with Cleansing Light (as such, play this character first). Jake should have a max Tiger Shot and high Hitpoints and should be played second to maximize total damage. You can use Last Flake to tear apart the Fear with Rake, or build her as a tank with loads of HP and points into Bite and Regeneration in order to withstand the Fear for the longest amount of time. Angela should have a max Diamond Shot with Poisoned Bullets improved to give you a lucky edge (hopefully). Marco should be used as your last ditch, maxing Dodge and Headshot to keep enemy hits away from you. Of course, the more HP every character has before starting the fight, the better your chances of succeeding. + so that players having a hard time with this can see.

After a few chapters the game just starts getting old... "Play... click click click click click YOU DEFEATED... Continue... Play... click click click click click YOU DEFEATED..."

Trouble beating the last Boss on hard? Here is a pretty easy Way: Choose the Vampire max her ability to regenerate life (15% of max life each round). After that just put each and every single point into Life. you should have 200 life and 30 life regeneration each round.

Very nice, the art is great, the concept is improved, game is balanced and somewhat challenging on higher difficulties which is great, makes it more interesting.

Is this my computer or is there a big latency between the time when you actually click and the time when the shot is made?? Sad, otherwise great game...

LowManji's guide makes Detective Marco a fragile speedster (resembling a stone wall since most attacks miss), the Simon the librarian a Jack of all stats (as much as that's possible, the poor design of his character makes him a master of none), Anjela Hudson a glass cannon, Last Flake a Stone Wall, and Jake the Hunter a Mighty Glacier.

Last Flake is a little broken with maxed out regen and 180+ HP. She just heals more than the enemies can damage her. Whenever she falls behind, one of her two healing moves catches her up. Fun, exploitable hole in this game, maybe something that should be fixed in the next game.

If the stupid API fails to register the fact that you jus' kicked some eternally cursed butt - not all is lost. Try to Ctrl-F5 - reload the page and then load autosave. It should toss you right into the last conversation after dealing with the final boss and try to send it in again. Might save you a broken keyboard or bleeding fist.
