Would be swell if my attack bar didn't randomly stop in frame causing me to do no damage (as once the lag is over my turn ends too) every second turn. Might have a decent chance of maintaining some health then.

There's a real imbalance in power levels. Made worse by the fact that some characters get a LOT more skill points than others.

Marco is a ninja at high levels: his passive evasion makes him impossible to hit. Jake is a cannon at high levels: his ulti has high dmg & fires every other round. Flake is a vampire at high levels: regen & absorb keep her alive. Angela is a machine at high levels : just keeps firing, with random 3x dmg thrown in. Ware Simon, get runic words asap & heal appropriately...

I'm wrong. It works but it only seems to raise if the full next number is reached. So, 120 hp and reg of 4% = 4.8 hp -> 4 hp.

Just finished it on hard. Only last boss is really hard. I didn't want to use only vampire girl so I used all the others till they fall unconscious then finished him with vampire cheated girl. By the way, I found a bug. When you finish a mission then arrive at characters selection. Save the game. Then begin the mission. Do nothing, just LOAD the game you just saved. Your characters will get 1 round regen (+20hp) Do this X times to begin each fight with 100% hp.

Last Flake is a juggernaut if you max out regen and add a few points into HP. The last boss wiped out most of my characters pretty quickly, but then Flake single-handedly won the rest of the fight with her OP regen rate.

hard was a bit of a challenge, but my tips for success: give the chick in the bottom left corner all the regen she can get, and then bump up her health. she'll regen more than the final boss can dish out. for the guy in the top-left, give him 50% avoid. for the guy in the bottom middle, all regen and then all hitpoints. there's some tough spots, but these tips will get you through them. remember to save, and try different skill combinations

I really liked that game! It was fun! Thanks to whomever made it! I do have a question though. Will there be a squel to this game? Thanks! Luckie.

http://obscuremechanism.wordpress.com/2011/11/04/town-of-fears-walkthrough/ this was a great resource. Hard badge took longer than it was hard.

Loved this game so much! The mechanics put an interesting new spin on those found in other games. The sounds and the graphics were beautiful as well. And I love the characters. Especially Jake! His design is really interesting and unique! I can't wait for the sequel!

I found the different characters a bit unbalanced. I like the fact that there's a Berserker in the form of Last Flake and a healer in the form of the Librarian, but Last Flake is insanely strong (Rage absolutely wrecked the final boss) and the Librarian can't heal allies, only himself, while dealing somewhat low damage (Even with his Ultimate maxed he doesn't do much) Regardless, the story was fairly good albeit short, and I'll await a sequel. Since there can be quite a few improvements, 4/5.

love it! the art is beautiful, and I love that each character has a different style for it's attributes, little details like that are great! I'll be looking forward to a sequel! Just one little thing, sometimes part of the text is missing (usually one word at the very end, it's easy to guess what the missing word is, but I thought I'd mention it)

I really enjoy how you designed the game and story. Its short, to the point, and fun all together. I really hope this thing can get some kind of an anime at some point, it seems so much good for material to make one!

The "Cthulu" language the Cultist talks when the girl is walking home through the sewers ALONE is actually Japanese, "Christchurch there Hami example decoy equipment person"--was this intentional?

If you run out of hp, do the following:
select any character, go to attributes, then menu, then save the game, then menu again and load the game you just saved. on the character screen click close, then on the map click until a fight is imminent. ==> you will see that you have earned some hp. you can do this as often as you need to get back to full hp. enjoy.

Nice game. Although tricky middle section, the last section is quite easy using hunter and last flake. Defeated last boss using only last flake.. Max regen and bite

Ah I see what the problem was. The underworld journey. Yeah the librian and the girl only is rough. Here's the trick I used, if the librarian is near death, pump his damage reflect. First turn heal, second turn triple strike. If he survives, attack normally. Now on the girl's turn she can blast the enemy to bits with the shotgun and win with one shot. That should take you all the way to Fear of Insects with Angela at full health.

Hoople, you gotta 'game' the game better. Esp with detective, he's kind of weak for a dude with a gun. Always use the 3 strike attack first then use the shield. First point to dodge second point to the multi-hit third point to head shot and that should get you through the train alright. If you want to get out of there at near full health, intentionally lose if you don't get at least one 100% strike on the zombie dog and cultist. Anyway this game is pretty damn good. I love the atmosphere and wish for this to get placed on the PS360. It feels overall a lot like the pulpy horror goodness of Nightmare Creatures, which I loved quite a bit. Hunter: The Reckoning is another console title this reminds me of. Creator, if you read this, try to sell the plotline/script to someone!

to beat the final boss on hard just upgrade the lady in the bottom left corner to have full regen and her first skill (the bite one) full and put the rest on damage or health. Regeneration is key.

My entire plan was to make Last Flake immortal with regen and high health. It worked. Unfortunately the last boss took a good 10 minutes to kill... Halfway thorugh the battle I felt as though I had cheated myself by abusing the system. By the end of the battle, I realised the never ending battle with the final boss was my punishment...
Though now I kind of wish I had saved once or twice during the game, then I could go and kill the boss with someone else or a different build :P My favorite character was probably the student, even if Last Flake was the easiest.
All the characters were really interesting :P Good game 5/5

Pretty much invincible point distribution:
Last Flake, Max Regeneration, rest goes into HP.
At 200HP, Last Flake gains 30HP per round, which is more than pretty much any damage any monster can dish at one turn. Including the final boss.

ugh right. For the first 4 or so fights it seemed interesting but, after that it got REAAAAAAAAAALLY tedious after that. Characters went from amazingly UPd to a brick wall. Could have done with, open paths, purchasable weapons and armour with different stats (so basically a normal RPG o_O) and an interesting story.
Which leads to another point, the story sucked. gave up reading after chapter 3 or so, it made basically no sense and I didnt miss much by not reading it.
Which sorta links to another part. Natural between level healing sucked. the healer should have been able to fully heal himself, as he had magic to do so. Plus you should have fully healed at the end of each chapter -.-. Now you might think it was initially an unreleated Segway he states at the start of what chapter 3 "We are prepared for you" yet both my guys had 10 or so hp. that, is bad planning and bad preperation.

Wonderfull game. Cool Artwork, Nice Story, Catching Fights and I loved the different characters, like the she-werewolf and the crazy sniper dude. 5/5 :)

the best way to kill final boss is 4th character whit lvl 5 regeneration and 180 hp :D boss always hit you for 0 ( you recover more that his atacks :D) down i made a strategy guide to beat the game in hard mode) :D
