Better than NW1, which is somewhat too hard and annoying to control. NW2 has managed to overcome that, but I don't like the difficulty levels. Instead of standing against a more challenging AI on harder levels, we simply can't see what the hell is going on! It is just annoying to be made blind and handicapped on the battlefield.

there could b some improvements starting with the fact that the levels dont end when u defeat all enemies until all ur cells have 100 units or less, so if u get surplus u have 2 wait it out

nice game but really annoying when its 3 free for all and one of them only attacks you allowing the other one to get super powered

I really loved the first nano wars, but this one really didn't do anything for me. The upgrade system from the first one was great. This one just seems over simplified.

Ouch! The new update messed me up. lol I had beaten all the normal levels except for level 25. That one was just way too hard. Then I beat all the tricky levels except for level 25. I was up to level 12 on the pro levels but then the update came out. Now I have to face level 25 and beat it under the normal and tricky difficulties before I can go on. Oh well! Here goes nothing...

I always love these kinds of games, even the basic Tentacles Wars. That, and upgrading (also such a favorite I even enjoyed the Upgrade! game as well as its sequel) means you'll get no complaints from me...other than the fact it was too short! A long, intricate storyline to drag this game out and make it nice and complex would be awesome! Of course...don't drown the game in storyline...

I'm disappointed in this game, Nano war was really good and this sequel didn't do much for it. Having to repeat the same level over and over so that you can get upgrade points is frustrating, and I don't find myself as drawn into the game as I did with the original.

bug: when sending in from a group, sometimes a cell with 0 starts moving. when that cell tries to enter another cell, it can't get in and instead makes a horrible noise.

Downrated 2/5 for having some features available on another website, when you really do need those features to upgrade just to play the game.

Upgrades are very expensive, and there's no way to respec once you realize that a bad decision makes it difficult to beat further levels (yes, even with early unit rushes).
There's also, if not a memory leak, at least something weird that happens at the beginning of a level sometimes (not any particular level, just randomly). The game maxes out CPU usage and slows down dramatically until I reload it, which on my system also causes weird stuttering on the audio.
I really like this kind of game, but the performance issues and unforgiving upgrade system kind of kill it.

How not to make a great game: When loading the level, make the player wait a while before starting but have no way of knowing exactly when. Make each challenge mode stay locked until you complete the whole set of levels again and again. Make the user go to a different website to play skirmish. It would be a very nice game, but it is definitely a downgrade from the original Nano War.

And I stop playing the game. Getting killed on stage 17... so I check the walkthrough... good ol' tass never let me down, first hint "you should do the play tricky on level 5-6 to get the extra lab points" ok fine... wait they're locked... WTF!? Reset points? Nope can't do that... Start the game over from scratch? Uhhh hello!? I'd rather not have to go searching for the save file and delete it...

This game blows. Far worse than it's predecessor. What kind of douche designs the final level in a game to pretty much REQUIRE some luck to win?

Game just sucks. I'm done with it. No way to start a new game or respec your lab points. Ugh. Needs a LOT of work. Poor, poor follow up to the original Nanowars.

The reset key is busted. At least on level 6. When I press R, it starts over, but after a few seconds I get a repeating sound clip and then a ton of lag. Have to refresh the page to make it stop.

This is a good game and it could be better. If or when an update is at hand it would be nice to reset your Lab-points so a noobalike creature like me could test different upset of Lab-tweeks without starting all over. In the end I prob. would hate this game for it`s lacks of genious upset. No need to make your user spend more time than he enjoys. That kind of experiance just makes me irritated. And being half-right I might just NEVER enter Kongreate again. It`s soon been two years since anyone wrote anythig here. Same timeframe for an update.

Tricky difficult and up is just boring, it's just guessing where to go. There is NO strategizing at any point after normal mode, and there is really no point to keep playing once you get to it.

noticed a bug in lvl 22... i've completed the level and conquered every cell but doesn't show up as being complete. Also i noticed a cell sent white blood cells of a count '0' to another cell... weird =p

I'm pretty disappointed in the this game. I loved nanowar 1 but I don
't see the same kind of pazzaz that I saw in the first one. I felt the game creator spent to much time on the visuals and not enough on the game play. Yeah it looked really nice but in the end it couldn't mask the stupid upgrade system and boring gameplay. Really I was expecting more for the sequel of a game I loved.

Beat level 25 on Pro difficulty. Then it says that the "higher level is now unlocked.". Hmmm, I don't see a higher difficulty, smh. HA!

This is a nice continuation to the nanowar series and I really liked it. Only downside : for me the "blind mode" thing is a big joke. It actually *removes* the strategical depth from the game : a real strategy game is a game where you have all the information you want about your forces. If you want to give players a challenge, make a better AI for the hard mode (like Tentacle Wars 2 - their AI is pretty good). If you can't make a better AI, at least give the AI bonus units / better techs / better cells, instead of this ridiculous mode. 4/5 because I hate blind modes.
