this is a bunch of balony, in barely half way through the game, i barely found out i could upgrade my stuff, witch isnt really all that great, i get stuck on a level for about half an hour, finally i win, and the game doesnt want to move forward. like its stuck on stupid or something.

How not to make a great game: When loading the level, make the player wait a while before starting but have no way of knowing exactly when. Make each challenge mode stay locked until you complete the whole set of levels again and again. Make the user go to a different website to play skirmish. It would be a very nice game, but it is definitely a downgrade from the original Nano War.

played through standard difficulty, fun stuff. However, I got really annoyed with Tricky difficulty...come on, really I'm not allowed to see the cell count in my own cells? absurd. Still 4/5 for the fun of the first go round, but I won't be playing the higher difficulties.

Wait, I can't even see my _own_ unit's power? As a colorblind person, I was kind of counting on some visual indicator.

I only used my upgrade points on the extra cell spawn rate thingie (even then I only got it to level 3) and did the whole game, no problem except the first level with the double point awards. Anyone else have this 'problem'?
Cause it seems you can tell all the other cell types to go to hell until like 23-25 and just swap them dead...

Better than NW1, which is somewhat too hard and annoying to control. NW2 has managed to overcome that, but I don't like the difficulty levels. Instead of standing against a more challenging AI on harder levels, we simply can't see what the hell is going on! It is just annoying to be made blind and handicapped on the battlefield.

Ah yes. I forgot. It's annoying to be forced going through tutorial levels every time new game is started.
Smellyhobo101: Basicaly that is it. You do not even need to grow fat cells. But you have to have enough own cells at first.

After all, I finished all levels (but 25th) several times in a 45 minutes or so. But 25th always take numerous retries, just because it is more or less dependent on "luck".
Because of all that NV2 is worse than NV1, which have more good features than bad. Nice design, easy interface, progressively raising difficulty level... NV2 could be good, with some redesign.
Regards.

- all levels are rather the same difficulty level, but 25th. That one is do-able in normal level, but rather impossible in tricky and pro. But not because of fog of war and hidden cell power. But because the bad cells are several times stronger, and for the same empty cell they must put just a few units where the blue cell must put 10x more cells to do the same (just look at the graph how steppy is the blue line and how straight is the yello, red and green line); that is just unfair. So enemies have some artificial super power... And they are super faster. And they produce fat cells at 60 units... So upgrades should be same for both sides if so!

NV2 dislikes:
- 3 difficulty levels are fine, but being forced to play same level 3 times is annoying
- upgrades are fine, but not being able to get them all is annoying
- upgrades are mediocre; I am able to finish all (but 25th) level without any upgrade, actualy 5% of speed increase I can't see the difference. But I can tell that bad cells are 10x time faster than good cells, despite having all upgrades; that's unfair.

Before I make this (negative) review of Nano Wars 2, I done all levels, just to be fair of giving any word about it. It's easy to talk something is bad just because you can't finish some level.
Here is the proof: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2651034928241.127632.1626789247&type=1&l=29b641042e
I love both Nano wars (=>NV) in some way:
NW1 has excelent design and levels are loading relatively quick. NV2 is less clean and neat, and has that annoying animation and fades, and moving all the time, that some would get a sea-sickness.
NV1 does NOT show which level was completed, so you have troubles to see which is completed and which is not. NV2 solves this on a good way.
Pressing left-click down in NV2 fills 100% quicker than NV1, which is good.
Play graph and play time in NV2 is welcome thing; that was missed in NV1. I still play NV1 rather than NV2, but competing against myself to clear all levels in less time.

Heres how to win absolutely every level: Select every cell you have at the same time, and then throw your nuts at whatever cell that isnt already yours.

Wow, people sure complain about minute/imaginary things a lot. There is barely a difference between this and the first one. I think gameplay-wise there is nearly none. And the graphics are not different in any relevant way. It’s more like a polished-up Nano War 1. Which, considering I liked that one *a lot*, is probably a good thing. If anything, I suggest making a new game that is merely inspired by Nano War, but brings in a whole new aspect, like 50% old 50% never-seen-before. How about something creepy like a horror adventure? Yes, combined with nano war. From a perspective of survival in a world with something deeply alien and Lovecraft-esqe to it? Now *that* would be something. :)

ok sequel. upgrades and varied cells are a plus, easiness is a minus (although nano1 was pretty easy imho). **ugh, don't be lured by the "higher difficulties" it just hides the numbers on all cells including your own... i really don't see the point (or the fun) of that.

The first game was a simple, enjoyable one with a well-executed concept.
This, however, is an overwrought mess. Fat Cells slow the game to a crawl and the computer having upgrades far beyond your own, while you yourself power up at a glacial pace, makes every level a chore to play.
Let this be a lesson to all designers, especially on sequels: More =! Better

there could b some improvements starting with the fact that the levels dont end when u defeat all enemies until all ur cells have 100 units or less, so if u get surplus u have 2 wait it out

This reminds me of the epic ar eries, the first and second were awesome, then the third one sucked, then the fourth was an upgrade of the third one, the first nano war was awesome, this one is retarded, theres like no way to defeat antibodies except with the 00 point aantibody bomb thing, so lame
