Great music game. Of course the medium badge is still obtainable by solving all 18 melodies, after getting all pieces in the 3 rooms of this version. @ElliotKane/GrayGryphon (There's even one more piece than necessary.) If you get completely stuck, then maybe try deleting your save ('chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0013/3579/live/musaicbox.swf/musaicport1.034.sol') and start again. There are a few bugs, but no big ones imo.

The game is wonderful, save for a bug I encountered by clicking "No" after finishing a song, rearranging the pieces of the completed song to see what happens if I misordered the pieces, then put it back to clear the level. I got a free piece of outline, and would up with 1 more piece in game than there should be. Might have something to do with the fact that it was the very level I got the key out of the basement on.

So the map says I have zero pages left to find in every room, yet somehow the book has only nine complete songs? I'm really frustrated because this game is so fun and I want to complete it but it won't let me!

Nevermind, i just had to rightclick, go into settings, disallow kongregate to put stuff in the PC memory, and reload. Now i just need a way to skip the tutorial, i want first to get everything from the start, then finally solving them without any stops

Bug: I completed one of the songs, found a music piece and unlocked another song - trying to play the new song didn't do anything and I was still on the screen with the previous song, so I tried going back to the room from the menu, which caused my game to lag heavily and I couldn't click on anything.

A very enjoyable game! I love the music aspect, especially the multi-voice renditions. I had some thoughts.
1) The tutorial part left me frustrated. I got it and I just wanted to go click on things and play, and I was forced to go through a set pattern. It would be nice to have a "end tutorial" button or something. I wonder how much of the tutorial is needed given how easy it is to use. The key is that the lead voice is red and it's what plays at the bottom. The rest can be "discovered".
2) "I have already added this to..." I kept seeing that and being confused, since I saw the paper move to the book. At first, I thought it should have been "I have added this to...", but then I realized that the bit of paper was still there. That made it harder later to find other pieces, as I had to keep going over pieces to see if I had already grabbed it. It might be better to remove it from the scene.
Beyond that, I thought it was a fantastic idea with a stunning implementation. I was captivated!

this is a good game, but my only concern is that can you add a stop glow effect in options, because every time my mouse moves over the pieces they glow and lagg the game. it's like having good ping then bad ping

@rockrurr, you don't need to know the song nor music theory, just trial and error while hearing a song, if it doesn't sound right, then the combination isn't right, but if you liked the "wrong" version... well, i can't do anything for ya, also, ask for a remix xD

That 'success' noise really needs dialed down, because it is SO much louder than the music. Very bad sound design, especially given that you can't place music & effects at different volumes in options.

OMG a combination of my most hated kinds of games. This is my kryptonite! Still it was oddly fun and the music was good. Just playing it up to the first badge though. I won't rate it cause this is definitely not meant for me XD

Definitely a cool concept and I'm glad to have played it. However, it has a huge problem, for a puzzle game-- some puzzles (starting with "Alouette") have multiple "valid" tile configurations, only one of which is correct. If you don't know the song (or music theory) your only recourse is to keep guessing. A "which pieces are wrong" hint button should never be the only way for a player without outside knowledge to solve a puzzle. Again, love the concept, but the amount of guessing is nearly inexcusable.

This. Game. Is. AWESOME! I loved the game play, and the songs! The way that the puzzles were laid out was absolutely BRILLIANT! 5/5 stars! Beautiful game! Looking forward to full game!
