Even though getting the hard badge seems not so easy in the start, it actually is. Here are some tips to make it.
1. Make sure you have everything upgraded to full level EXCEPT hull.
2. Use the level 1 hull, but everything else top level.
3. Do not use boost for anything else than to dodge stuff.
4. Avoid "boost gates", they're death traps!

Pro tips for the hard badge: 1. Upgrade everything, but use the smallest hull. Smaller target, and also easier to monitor damage. 2. Remember you can turn your engine off. Use this to circumnavigate things. 3. Fuel. You'll need it. 4. The hitboxes are bigger than you think. If you think you can just avoid something, give it more leeway. You won't avoid it. 5. Lightning is okay, but best avoided. But if you need to travel through clouds, do it at full speed with all boosters fired. 6. Only use boosters if you're in the red zone on fuel, if you just stopped your engine and need to regain speed, or if you have to avoid obstacles. Apart from that, use sparingly. Do all of this, and you can get the hard badge, and even get to 300,000 feet without damage, no problem. + this if it helps.

Press the down arrow while going through a booster and you will float there making you just gain money for as long as you stay there. + to keep alive!

I was falling and got some fuel, restarted the engine, hit a plane, ran out of fuel, and fel down and crashed. Not a good recovery.

Oh yea, another weird thing is, that if u shut of the engine while its still on the starting platform, it will start shaking and suddenly just explode......

I love launching games but they have been a bit overdone now and I really don't want to end up hating them. That said, I still like this game.

Good game, good game. The hard badge really isn't too hard as long as you 1.Upgrade everything (including the hull so you can last longer and gain more money to fully upgrade everything) at first. Also fully upgrade the bottom upgrades (fuel consumption etc etc.) Then keep everything fully upgraded except the hull. Switch back to the very first (weakest hull). Then just be very careful, do everything you can to avoid gates, but never make sharp turns or you're more likely to hit something. Try to keep going up as straight as possible. If there's something you know you can't dodge, instantly shut off the engine, drift down a bit and go around it. With practice, you'll have it.

I just scored the Refueling III and Duration III achievements as I was falling. 40 Seconds to fall and 8 fuel packs on the way down.

on the way up i had to dodge a whole lot of things..when i ran out of fuel and came crashing to the ground i hit nothing.

I don't normally aim for thunder clouds... but when I do it's because I had to go through a speed up and I want to slow down. Launch safely my friends.
