the idea has been done before but its a nice take on it. 5/5 i just wish you hadn't made the result screen come up so quick. you obviously took the time and effort to animate the destruction of the space craft. would be nice to see it actually happen

Why bother with rocketry? Just find whoever figured out how to get wads of cash and jerry-cans to hover in mid-air and get them to tell you how to levitate into space!

News reporter - "In more recent news, a space ship, designed by professor Watchamacallhim, crashed today. this botched up spaceship, collided with 27 aeroplanes on its descent, killing at least 30 people. It was later found that the professor had in fact decided to NOT fill the fuel tanks, required to make full ascension into space, fully knowing that there would be some form of failure in flight. The FAA has made this announced its disgust in professor Watchamacallhim's action. He is due to be executed in a week"

News Anchor: "This just in: A plane has crashed somewhere in the atlantic ocean and there were no survivors. Pictures taken from satelitte show a cylindrical object hitting the plane mid-flight. Also, the government has continued to fund the new space rocket project."

One annoying problem, the hitbox for the rocket is a little bigger than the rocket itself, so everytime you go through a gate on an angle, it completely wrecks your rocket

I want to see my rocket smash and explode in a burning fireball of death, not some statistics screen... :) My favourite intro to a game so far too, nice and uncomplicated! 3.5/5

it sucks that when trying to go through the boost gates you either hit the side of them of it flings you into a plane at a deadly speed :(

I just picked up the hard badge, and I just wanted to make a couple of comments. The non-zoomed out view for the first 30K of flight is incredibly annoying while going for this badge. Random objects appear way too quick at the beginning of the flight to maneuver out of the way with such a limited view. Also annoying is just how unforgiving the hit detection is for the in-air booster gates. I finally gave up on trying to use them after the umpteenth time of experiencing a phantom hit while trying to gain a boost. Still, I liked the game enough to keep playing to get the hard badge despite these annoyances. Overall, good job.

44, with multiple screw ups.. There's a lot of games like this one, but this is the first time i've seen one where the higher you go, the EASIER it gets. Normally games of this type get more difficult as you go up, with more and more obstacles.. but here because it zooms out more and more the further you go, it gets easier and easier, which is really strange.

I love it not for the gameplay mechanics or interesting upgrading scheme, but for the Kool-Aid man cheering me on every time I get an achievement.

Absolutely amazing game. One thing I would like to suggest is that once your ship starts getting faster, you keep the camera zoomed out at the beginning, because it's impossible to see planes/boosters/etc in time to dodge them with the camera so close. 5/5

Man i would love to see that rocket break into 1000 pieces, and not have the summary come up INSTANTLY (or at least an option)

"Say, Paul, whatcha got there?"
"It's my new biplane! I'm gonna go out flying over that shuttle launch thingie so I can get a great view!"
"Umm, Paul, isn't that dangerous?"
"Nawww, only for the shuttle if he hits me. I'll be jes' fine!"

Businssman: Okay, sir, we are trying to launch a rocket to the moon. What kind of endeavor shall we launch? Scientist: We will ge a random person with no flying experience to manipulate the rocket by satellite with a keyboard. Businessman: Perfect! I'll get the rocket ready!
P.S. sorty about the last post, i made some typos. just - it until it goes away.

A suicide button for those after the hard badge who don't like to crash multiple times against the next flying object they see as soon as they take damage would be useful.

What if I want to see the trail of destruction I am causing? Please get that annoying menu off in the next update until the ship has stopped moving or we have pressed a certain button. Plus if you agree =}

Damn! Why are we drilling *into* the earth for oil when there's so much of it just floating around in jerry cans up in the sky! :O

If scientists have the anti-gravity technology to hover money, fuel cans, and tool boxes in the air, why are they wasting time and money on rockets? :/

And wouldn't he get more money discovering UFO's, instead of launching the.. well let's guess.. the 78th rocket reaching space?

I'd like to see the "Flight Results" sheet transparent and watch how many planes and other shit I knock down. That's be pretty neat.

My suggestions:
1. Fix the stuttering issue. When you get up to a certain height, the game begins to stutter quite a bit - very annoying.
2. Fix your hitboxes. My spaceship often collided with objects that were very clearly not touching it.
3. Please add an option to allow for no zoom during the beginning. In my quest for the hard badge, I've had to restart quite often due to simply running into things that I didn't see until they were way, way too close. I want the game fully zoomed out from the start.
Consider these suggestions.

Badly designed game. In the first part of the game the view area is smaller so if you use acceleration gates there is a 99% chance you'll either hit it or smash into something else. Then also some things just pop out of nowhere and there is no radar so it's mostly luck based.

For the hard badge:
if you press the down arrow, the engine stops. Use that and you will be able to avoid everything easily. (it'll be easier than using the thrusters). Don't try to collect fuel, you don't need it (well, maybe 4-5).
And: Don't. Try. To. Use. The. Boosters.
Keep this up!

After 114 tries, I finally got the hard badge. Jesus, probably the most annoying hard badge I know of! I got past 240,000 3 times and then died only a few hundred from the 250,000 mark. When I finally got the badge, I died immediately afterward at 251,000.

Funny enough, I got the hard badge very shortly before the medium badge. The reason: I NEVER upgraded my hull to begin with. It took me 55 days. This game is too slow-paced unless you max the money upgrade ASAP. 5/5

Now that I have the badges, I look very forward to never playing this game again. It's horribly repetitive and unlike the countless other games like it, gets boring after about 10 minutes. After getting every single upgrade in the game, it still took another 50+ runs just to "complete" the game. The luck involved far outweighs any skill required to play this game. It started out as a pretty average 3 star game, but by now I've been reduced to giving it 1 star, which is not something I've had to do often on this site.

NASA has spent many years of trial and error in sending rocket ships into space...whether it's 10,000 ft up or 10ft up it doesn't matter!:D

The setup I used to get the hard award: 1st Hull (farthest left), 6th Fins (farthest right), 4th Engine (white on top, red on bottom), 6th Fuel (farthest right), 5th Booster (white tip, red band, white bottom, two rockets). This along with all the upgrades that line the bottom.
It allows for a lot of control, and enough fuel to make it to the top if you pick up fuel bottles along the way. Use the boosters along with turning off the engine to make sharp turns around any obsticles. Be sure to avoid any accelerators!

No wonder the government wants to get into space... we're being attacked by aliens, who are destroying our cities by dropping money and gasoline on them.

*Out of Fuel* Dang it! Not again! Well... if im going down, that plane's going down with me! or 3... or 12... ok maybe 30? 31? :P
