how about an upgrade system? maybe the coins that you get can be spent on 'slow motion' or a 'bigger bounce'r for a period of time....give me a reason to continue to play

The timer shouldn't start until we launch the first ball. It'd be great with a quality changer because I'm getting a weird FSP drop.

It says 'Good Haul' even if you completely fail. It would be nice if there was more sayings, like 'Awesome Haul!' or 'Poor Haul' and stuff like that based on score.
Thanks for your feedback! There´s now a "Great Haul" if you rock the level and a "Lame Haul" if you completely fail. Also, there´s the "Epic Haul" for uber players :)

I think you need rubber balls instead of steel ones as the sever lack of bounce makes it tedious to clear a level. I can't even clear level 1 as balls just bounce in place or move WAAYYYYYY to slow.

Nice idea, but the timer is annoying and I would prefer keyboard controls in this case. It's too easy to move the cursor out of the screen and thus lose control.

Timer issue definitely needs to get fixed, it moves a bit fast and shouldn't start until you fire a ball. Also, I had my entire browser freeze when the level ended for about a minute, and then everything glitched back into place as if nothing had happened.
Also, if you could make it so that the directions would disappear when you fire a ball, or something, that'd be very helpful. As is, I couldn't see half of the first level because of that. And I don't know if it matters, but if you click anywhere on the screen that isn't a button after a level ends, the "Good Haul" message completely vanishes.
Oh and the balls move a tad too fast generally, at least in my opinion they do.
But so far, this seems like a decent enough idea.

It's Arkanoid on steroids. I'm surprised no one has made a game like this before. Good job BeardShakeGames. Keep it up. More levels, enemies, bosses, upgrades to spend those coins on, more!

Its impossible for a human to clear any numbered level. Some times the ball bounces so slow- if it was always insanely frenetic then maybe with quick reflexes and a good deal of luck but as it is impossible except for the practice level.

the description should read "Nothing can stop your steel balls when it comes to getting booty! Arrr!" instead, just for lulz

Neat concept... but it wears off quickly. First, it gets annoying to have much control over where the balls are headed. So often I'm just watching them bounce without hitting blocks and unable to do anything about it. Perhaps make the sides flippers too or something. Also, a game-breaking bug (IMO) is that when two balls hit your "ship" at the same time, one goes right through. It needs some more work on the gameplay aspect (graphically it's solid though). Also, congrats on your Kongregate sponsorship :)... was trying to be the first Stencyl developer to get a Kong sponsorship myself :(.

The timer sucks, if you would let it be just lives limit with no timer it might be possible, but alas, there is a timer, and im stuck on lvl 2, 3/5

Unfortunately I didn't like this game. The concept was alright, but bouncy, break the block games have been being made for a long time. The ship, which I thought was a plank of wood is an alright size for the gap you have to maneuver in, but it's almost so small that I had a really hard time even seeing it. It was almost like the bottom of the screen was eating half of it. Also, the level itself controls the ball most of the time, not the user, which should be the point. Coins are for extra score I guess?? Would have been better to make you collect coins for upgrades or even power ups instead of coins altogether.

i think the paddle should hurl the balls further. Otherways, in the late part of the game, you just patch the balls up again and again and they just don't reach anything, which kinda annoys :/

The art and music are great and I normally like arkanoid-type games, but… the player has no pretty much no control of the ball here. The speed is too damn hectic for such a small screen estate. And I'd like an option for keyboard-controls.

How can i possibly get 250k? I consider myself a decent gamer and can barely get to 150k, not losing a single ball. Related to lag, perhaps?

Couple things that this game needs in order for it to be enjoyable: 1. Upgrades/powerups 2. An easy way to view score needed to pass the level while playing that level. 3. Untimed mode versus timed mode, or more time per level and eventually 4. More levels. Hope you keep working on this so you can get a better rating. 2/5 right now.

i would like to know if i beated my previous highscore when i replay a level, i'm trying to maximize my score but i have no idea of how am i going

Any chance the dev could add an alternative control scheme? Using a touchpad to move my ship is near impossible at this game's speed. I would LOVE to be able to use left/right arrows to move instead. Please?

i'm not a big fan of the lag on the paddle. it feels unresponsive, and with sometimes sudden reactions that seem to bounce at funny angles, it can be really hard to catch some balls.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got to admit i didn't find this game to my liking, the balls movements seems to predestined, and it's very hard to vlear the board. An excellent idea of allowing you too shoot all your pinballs at once though, and it has got a lot of potential if it got more thorougly worked

Zooming in the game so one can actually make out what is on the screen leads to a miserable laggy play. At 100% zoom the game becomes juggling super-bounce balls with the head of a matchstick!

after playing way too much pwong 2, this is pretty easy :)
P.S: someone listened to Zimmer while composing a part of the music... ;)

this game is agravting th ball really doesnt move like you would expect it using simple geometry you would expect a ball to bounce at a certain angle but when it hit the bounce pads wioth a grat amount of force it tend to drop instead of refecting at the proper angle + the fact theres no max speed self colison and slaf made area designed to make you ail and lose the ball makes this game quite difficult to the point you dont want to try again alos theres a great deal of luck involved not much skll

Something to keep in mind, is that unlocking levels is about increasing your combined level score, and not just for the level previous.
