I tried making a new game in another save slot to see if it will keep the save.
Right now it keeps it, but i still hesitate to play because 1. Restarting my game is annoying and 2. There still is no guarantee that it will continue saving my new game.
I also have the little hope that my old saved game will come back, though that hope isn't high right now. (I tried finding where the saved game is kept on my computer, but all these folders and weird file names confuse me =/)
I also discovered that when you right-click and select Play, it restarts the intro correctly without the annoying skill tree, though my saved file still doesn't come back.
Oh, and the skill tree is clickable before the text appears, so you can click on continue and close it to see the real main menu background, but you need to do that fast or it won't be clickable anymore.
It isn't useful much either anyway.

The game just bugged for me today.
Before the main menu appears, you get the skill tree (empty) out of nowhere that tells you to spend 20 skill points (i'm not even in a saved file).
Then the menu title appears on top of that skill tree.
And when I click on continue game, my saved file is at level 1 instead of where i was.
I really want to know if that is fixable, since i don't like my file to be erased for no reason (i didn't delete my cache or anything).
At worst i could restart my game from the beginning (though i'd hate to do that) but there's no way i'll restart if that can happen again (i don't want to lose my save each time i get far in the game).
Did this bug happen to anyone else or is it just me?

"Auto Move" sucks. I'm fine with it spamming a default attack or poor AI strategy, but it's primary purpose should be for me to NOT have to click through the battle.

Ugh, another one of these horrid turn-based games where you need to have godlike reflexes if you want to hit anything. Obviously, not everyone can click at the exact time the indicator is inside the white bar. Therefore, not everyone can play this game and remain interested for more than 5 minutes. Smart idea, especially if you want as high an average rating as possible.

Another one of those games that was fun in 2011 but feels a little dated in 2016. Very easy to play, just very long and repetitive.

welp. just spent 5 1/2 hours trying to conquer everything. Power goes out. log back on just to have my save file not save... so much for that hard badge. Guess ill come back another day

I noticed a comment earlier about this particular issue. To change skills that are on your skill bar, go to the skills menu, click on the skill you want to remove than click the skill you want to replace it with and they will swap. Hope this help.

Ellroth, click on the skill you do not need on the row at the bottom of skill selection - a blue circle appears, then click on the skill you want to replace it with.

I filled up my row of skills. It lets me buy further skills, but how do I access them? I can't find icons for them anywhere.

I'm battling the Native Elder's sister, and her health keeps going to max health at the end of each turn. Her magic is down to 5 points so she isn't casting anymore spells and it's still doing it. This has to be a glitch right?

After a time i was a rich pimp and could build shrines everywhere on the island and become the strongest being ever... you should do a maximal capacity or the game will become too easy and therefore the hard badge will not be hard at all, just a little advise :) Also goes with the market and town you can just stack all them and then remove them later on to stack something else... otherwise really great game! :)

I have completed the game two times in game plus mode. ~~~TIPS~~~
1. Only spend your souls on your sword! (TRUST ME)
2. Get the deadly silent skill before fighting the dragon.
3. Don't build a shit ton of shrines. It sucks the challenge out of the game until the 2nd game plus.
4. Money is not an issue. Spend as much as you would like!
5. Army of the Damned>Phoenix>Rampage. This is by damage.
6. You won't complete all of your skills before fighting the final boss for the first time. During the first game plus, you should be able to finish it midway through.
7. I use catapults and the dragon for sieges. (Focus on the castle)
8. Sieges become extremely easy after completing the game and going onto game plus. (Castle HP stays the same while you get stronger.)
9. Dying is not an issue unless you are in the second game plus.
10. You can get rid of the run away skill if you want to make room for another skill.

I love this game but the grind is just to much for me to keep playing. Its a shame there is no sequel that fixed these issues. There should be more souls at a time as you get further on. and not as much xp to level. If you need to put in special places just to grind, you should know something is wrong.

There is a glitch with tournaments. IF you play the easiest tournament till the last battle then run. You can enter a harder tournament at full health and on the final battle of that tournament.

I beat all the challenges and the three tournaments, except that I cannot gain entree into Dark Force Island. Any hints on where I might find that entrance?

Kind of painfully repetitious, but here are my tips. 1: Knight path middle and right sides for damage. 2. Get both regenerations from mage tree, (down the center of the tree) and nothing else. Mp will grow with levels and be sufficient enough. 3. After a few islands are complete, complete the left side of the Demon tree to get disease. This will help you with bosses along with regen.
4. You don't need to grind at the yellow squares, you do a lot of killing along the path. 5. Money is nearly useless until late game until you can purchase shrines. Might be okay to build markets but I only had a few and was alright. Most were unpopulated. Once you get shrines, remove everything else and make it a shrine UNLESS it is for catapults. 6: For the seige, ALWAYS use your initial frontline warriors they are your meatshield. After you get catapults and then dragon, use two catapults and dragon and focus on tower. 7: souls all go to weapon.

Advice if you're in it for the long haul: Only build one of each building. You can build a few extra towns or markets, but don't build them at every available location. The final blueprint that you unlock (on the Dark Force island) is a shrine, which you will want to build as many of as possible (+10% damage). This will make end-game things SUPER easy. Don't worry about the 3rd tournament until after you have unlocked shrines. For skill trees: Final knight skill takes 250 mp, final mage skill takes 300 mp and does a little more damage than the knight, and final demonic skill takes 300 mp and does a lot more damage than mage. For sieges: Focus on one frontline army at a time with archers/foot soldiers, while using (a) catapult(s) to take out the fortress. Once you have the dragon unlocked, use 2 foot soldiers, 2 catapults, and the dragon. Use the catapults and dragon to attack the fortress only; foot soldiers are only to absorb damage.
