Under rating threshold (show) As someone who has been depressed but never had the urge to self-mutilate, I feel like this game, while a good insight for those who've never thought about it, is a bit shallow. There are many coping mechanisms for depression and I guess I just wish this brought more of them to attention. 5/5 because aside from personal grips, I didn't find any flaws.

Under rating threshold (show) *SPOILER* The girl does not represent drugs. She is "Self-Mutilation." Notice in Ending 1 when the nurse says "You're lucky you didn't hit any nerves or arteries." In this ending you also become "Closer" with her (deeper cuts). She also has "wrapped herself around my arm and never left" (scars). If you play through the game again with this in mind it all starts to make sense. The game sends a great message about the dangers of self-mutilation, and is also very well put together. The music is also very deep and relaxing. 5/5 for sure.

Under rating threshold (show) This is only a guess, but to me "Air Pressure" means the constant pressures and stresses of life (like how the atmosphere imposes Psi's on us at all times). If one takes the game literally a relationships is another air pressure we deal with. A more symbolic interpretation might be that we live so long under a atmosphere we get used to the pressure, like how the protagonist had gotten use to his addiction(rather drugs or self mutilation) and it doesn't truly bother him any more. P.S Mister Bento Smile, if I am sorta right or completely wrong tell me please

Under rating threshold (show) I had a friend that cut himself over years. One day he killed himself in his home. He was 16. I thought he had given up cutting since he told me so, but he still liked to Leigh. Get it? Leigh. Like that girl. *rim shot* Glad y'all can't throw rotten tomatoes at me now. Seriously though cutting is heavy stuff. His smiles and "I'm doing good" responses were a facade according to his journal which I found lying around at school. It was nameless but I knew it was his and gave it to the nurse after some discussion with someone. I wonder if he would have lived if I talked to him more about it. Thanks bento smile and raitendo for Air Pressure. It was touching, thought provoking, and fun.

Under rating threshold (show) The reference to veins and arteries makes no sense for Heroin since you WANT to hit the vein with heroin so that the drug gets in. The veins and arteries statement would be the blade. Hitting an artery means that he would have died cause blood loss, and if you hit the right nerve it can cause things from Numbness to paralysis. Drugs couldn’t be a fit but from the tone of it all, I'd definitely say it's about self-mutilation. The on his arm reference would make more sense for mutilation as well because the scars that the cuts would leave behind would be there forever, where as the rick from heroin needles isn't permanent. Further evidence is in the difference between the endings. He says he feels alone and separate in one portion that he wants to feel like “a normal person." Drug users are self righteous, they would find themselves normal. Plus drugs are a very communal thing, so him having more friends wouldn't hurt anything, hence all the "don't share needles" PSA's

Under rating threshold (show) Oh wow, this game really surprised me. I was thinking throughout the whole first playthrough that she was a whole 'nother person, and, stupidly, I disregarded the fizzyness of her. Then the guy ended up in the hospital and I was like "whaaaa?" Then I explored the dialogue a -lot-, and this game has some HUGE meaning in it.... 5/5 sir, and make more games!

Under rating threshold (show) ninjaleo, it isn't enough to only read. If you want the badge, find the walkthrough, but if you want your psychological state to tremble, play it like it is your life, your the guy addicted to something and you choose whether to live with it happily, stay with it like with a curse or leave it. The guy made a game NOT TO ENTERTAIN your mind but to touch your unconsciousness.

Under rating threshold (show) for self mutilation i think its true she is too cute of a girl who seems to be inocent in every way but when you finally look pass that and get to the part in which you want to leave her her personality completely changes to which she does start to represent the embodiment of self mutilation good game but it does take some thinking to get the gist of the game and even then its only personal opponion since it really doesnt give clear detail of his situation for all we know she could be a normal girl and he could just be having his own physcological problems

Under rating threshold (show) I can see why people would think the girl is a metaphor for drugs, but what I got out of it was that he was a cutter. It also ties in nicely with the fact that she is on his arm, and why else would the nurse at the bad ending note that he was lucky not to hit any nerves or arteries? I think the bad ending is the protagonist going all the way through and attempting suicide, the okay ending him just contuing to cut, and the good ending is him stopping completely. And ugh, just thinking about cutting makes me feel kind of queasy :/ 5/5 for a great game though!

Under rating threshold (show) Got all 3 endings, a definate 5/5 though. The concept art was amazing and personally it doesn't have to be around drugs, or anything, it could be about everything, anything, an addiction, a couples arguement, divorce, whatever appeals to the player, Drugs seems the most reasonable but it doesn't have to be the image or object symbolized. Got all 3 endings, theres the (Hospital) where I felt that she could have been true love just talk to her like she's someone you really love. (Happy Seperation) This part revolves around you wanting to be alone, and you sticking to it. Ending 3 is where you don't end up in the hospital for whatever reason, but you end up staying with her, and thinking you'd be alright you didn't need treatments, you decided to stay with her forever, to get this ending well I'd leave it up to you, its more fun when you try to figure out games like these on your own, so playing any game, don't always come looking down here first.

Under rating threshold (show) When I first played this I was so determined to keep them together ... and then I realized all the symbolism and I was crying. Self-harm I've dealt with my entire life. Its so hard trying to explain the reasoning behind it to people whenever they find out. They look at you like you're insane when you start mentioning drugs and addiction ...I've had clients walk out my of my office just because my sleeves aren't long enough. I wish this game was more popular, seriously, its message is just so ... important. Its puts things I've been stumbling over in perfect words ll understand.

Under rating threshold (show) on my 1st (also played twice again for other endings) playthrough, i couldn't tell at all that this game was about cutting yourself. I thought the 1st ending was just the main character with a concussion. The 2nd ending really felt like the right ending to do, because it seemed like all the right decisions were made. It didn't feel right doing the 3rd ending, because a good thing from your life is away from you. I have friends who cut themselves and I've been trying forever to get a perspective on what it's like and how they feel about doing so. This game really helped me. Self mutilation is like being with a cute girl and not letting go of her for the rest of your life. Now I need to decide whether to stop my friends from cutting themselves or not.

Under rating threshold (show) I'm pretty sure its not drugs, but a razor. For these reasons; The nurse mentions that he missed arteries. When she gets closer you end up in the hospital (closer or cutting deeper). You "rely" on her to "dump" your bad feelings (which is how cutting is described by many cutters). When you get rid of her its hard but you feel happier. i can see how it could be drugs also, but i think mainly because of the nurse saying you missed arteries and being closer puts you in the hospital, I would think it would be cutting rather than drugs. just my opinion

Under rating threshold (show) @ this game has been on my fav's list since i first played it over a year ago (Nov 19/10) Just wanted to say i loved it enough to come back and play it again about 5 times throughout the year. For someone who has experienced the feelings of this character, it is a deep-touching game. The music is so simple, but says so much - it fits perfectly with the rest of the game content. As for that content, well - everyone has explained the hell out of it - I just wanted to say it's an important game to me. :) Ty Bento

Under rating threshold (show) I enjoyed this game. I think that the theories about his friend being drugs or cutting sound valid. Perhaps that is why the game is called air pressure. The physical symptoms of a mental and internal battle where he feels like the air is closing in around him. The pressure of his struggles come to a point where he must decide: try to escape his difficulty or give in to the anguish.

Under rating threshold (show) I really liked this game. I got all the endings and I thought that it was very interesting how you told the different perspectives and aspects of self-mutilation. I guess you could say it was a symbol for heroine but when the nurse was talking about "hitting any major arteries" I came to conclusion of self-mutilation over heroine addiction. Well done.
