might be decent if you didnt have to start over completely upon death. Also, I assumed the anchors in the top left were a number of lives, apparently not the case. Take one hit, die, start all over-wank crap :/

I beat the game on my third try, not sure if that's good or not, but here's my upgrade path for a fairly easy end game (the lack of fire power early requires you to dodge):
1. Buy as much loot power as you can (largest treasure chest and flag you can afford).
2. Upgrade your ship as you can, purchasing your third item as a weapon upgrade.
3. Buy another loot item as your fourth item (at this point you should have near max loot).
4. When you reach the final boss sell your loot items and buy weapon power and fire rate (should be one or two from maxed in both).
I ended with 2,000 gold ship, equipped with best two flags I could have, largest weapon power, and largest fire rate.

@jennifer626 You can mute. Instead of clicking on the lowest bar, just make a swiping motion with your mouse from right to left across the bars.

it would be nice if when you looked at your medals it showed you *best so fair* though I would still give this game 5/5 :)

To get the medal "Get free gold from Lach the pirate" All you have to do is pause the screen and wait a few minutes, then some guy (I assume the devs) Pic pops up and says if you play again he will give you free gold. Please Up Vote so everyone sees this! Thanks!

I reached the last boss with one life left, defeated him easily and then got blown up by a stray bullet. Seconds later, I was awarded the medal for defeating the last boss without taking any damage...

Sorry for double-post.
Honestly, the bosses are the easiest part of the game, the waves between the bosses (after you defeat the final boss specifically), are a lot more annoying than that weak single final boss. (once you figure out how to dodge the bullets, and with enough ms, you should be able to dodge it all day long in theory.

the second boss is rather easy, what you need to do is move between the spiral movement of the orbs, it does help when you have 3+ level weapons, also i focused on destroying the orbs first, and then the ship second, because destroying some orbs makes it easier for you to not get hit.

well, I found a glitch that just screwed me. When you go to the shop right before the round starts the game doesn't pause and continues to play in the background. I upgraded my ship an came back to find I only had one life.
