After months of playing I finally got the hard achievement. Got to level 5 then ended up beating the Thunder 5 times. Hell of a fun game :D

There is a bug. While playing I clicked out to another window for a bit and when I came back all my upgrades were gone but my gold remaining and progress was the same.

THE MUSIC MAKES ME WANT TO SCEWER YE BONES WITH MY SCURVY SWORD! it fits so well with the game that it's scary, this game is amazing, only thing i would change is the pattern of the boss's bullets... after a few games it becomes very predictable so it isn't hard enough YE SCURVY DAWG

Oh, one more hint for endless mode (because this game is THAT awesome!): Once you have a fully decked-out ship and the five best items, the last thing you should do is sacrifice something (I'd choose speed) so you can get maximum firepower. This will make a *big* difference. Not only do you demolish most of the big ships before they can fill the screen with bullets (by far the biggest danger in endless mode), but extra lives also show up more frequently. If you can do this before you face the final boss, that's even better.

Starts out a piece of cake and gets progressively tougher all the way up to the palm-sweating final boss, and then, just to see how good you really are, a brutal endless mode. A variety of potent powerups that'll have you trying all sorts of combinations to find the winning one (hint: go with movement speed, then attack power, and attack speed last). Tons of action with just enough luck involved to keep things interesting. Enemies that start out a piece of cake and get progressively more lethal, with no one hideous grossly overpowered gamebreaker. An achievements table that’s not too easy, not too murderous (I actually found beating the 2nd boss without damage the hardest). And a rewards system that'll keep you coming back for more and striving to go just a little bit further next time. Developers, take note: THIS is how you make a Kongregate game! 5/5

Quick little glitch. If you've already bought the best flag, have two open slots and buy the best treasure chest, and you'll have the option to buy the best flag again. Cheers!

just a quick question, i absolutely love, love, love this game and i want to play other games like this. is there a genre or some key word that i can use to find more games like this? and by games like this, i mean games where you move around and your character continously fires at the nearest enemy and you can upgrade.
