Your points are determined by the amount of money you have at the end. When you have enough starting cash, buy the +4 Loot, +4 Magnet. That should make it easier to earn up enough for the two pirate flags. This should give you enough time to get the firepower upgrade before facing the final boss. I used the last upgrade slot on the Fire Rate bonus.

I've been on the same run for a while. I've fought 5 ghost ships not including the first "final boss". HOW MANY GHOST SHIPS ARE THERE?
ARE THESE THE GHOSTS OF ALL THE SHIPS I SANK?

"I mean, when I was a kid... And there were no multiple levels or screens.
It was just ONE screen, forever, and you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and faster and until you died. Just like LIFE! Those video games built character, Sonny Jim!" -- Ernest Cline

An obvious tip for the 'hard' badge for those who payed no attention to the upgrade screen at all (because I can tell that some can't), is that if you want more money, just get the loot and magnet upgrades... I only killed the final boss 3 times and had more than enough, though if you refuse to get the money upgrades, I guess that that may just be more impressive, playing the game handicapped like that.
I said that it was obvious, but if you had to read my comment to figure that out, well...

the boss are easy, but all the small mobs is scary.
all mobs can instantly spawn when they die, and do you know what that means ?, it means they doesn't need to reload the cannon to shoot again.

The game's screen is so small that the cursor is getting out thus the ship is sailing straight to where i left but this is a great game.

the final boss is way easier than the second boss if you ask me. it took me 5 tries to beat the second boss and i beat the final boss without taking damage and beat the thunder the first time i tried it.

Scrolled down a bit to check out the comment section; I must admit that the scene that pops up when the game has been out of focus for a while sure is interesting.
The game is also really great; 5/5 stars.

@Duveltje - You can only get 2 flags that way though, and you need at least 3 to max all stats. If you select the last chest and click buy twice (requires 2 free slots and $3250) you will get a flag even if you already have one. Repeat.

Pretty cool game, just noticed that the "x" directs where you go, and you automatically shoot, also that you earn coins when you destroy things. I guess that's what instructions are for. (i didn't read the instructions in case you didn't notice)

I think those are loan sharks, that explains them having some money. Good thing you won't have to repay the debt though.

Play anything from Alestorm as you play this game to double the amount of fun. No, really. Singing Keelhauled as loud as you can made this game double the fun.

The key to beat Jindal boss is not to look at the red balls it fires but look at the space in between them, that improves your survival chances a lot, MY WALKTHRU 1) Get to 3350 starting money. 2) Buy first Ship's Level, Level 4 Pirate Flag, Level 4 Loot Chest. 3) Move around so you kill a lot of enemies and collect money. Reach as many Chests as possible, without getting hit twice. 4) When you have 1750$ buy Ship's Level 2 and Level 4 Weapon. 5) With 2nd boss stay far away and avoid spinning orbs, then focus in on the boss. 6) Get Ship's Level 3 and Level 4 Fire Rate. 7) You will be able to beat the final (storm) boss without getting more than 2,3 hits. Just spin at the same speed that it does, so you're far away from his projectiles. 8) Fully upgrade ship. Try saving 4 or more life points. Keep evading the large ships, fight only when you can. Collect as many Chests as possible. 9) Beat final boss 2nd time and you should have 30,000+ score. (Give it a + ;O)

sufficient anchors do not spawn when needed badly, wud have been great if one cud install all 20 upgrades, some cheats ( like invulnerable, clone or become like enemy, invisible so enemy stops firing..... for a short time like a secondary weapon that takes time to recharge ) wud be nice too especially with Jindal Boss,

I don't think I have ever come across a game that is so simple to play and yet so addicting and enthralling as this one. The final boss is annoying as all get out, but dangit, I can't stop playing. Awesome little game!

how many crew members do they have. They must be ghost ships but, ive killed so many of them they must be running out of ghosts
