Tips to defeating the Thunder:
1.If you have alot of money (about 1500) buy the treasure chests it increses (sorry bad English) your money income.
2.After the first boss buy your weapon upgrades. If you don't' you won't make it.
3.When you at the third boss, sell your treasure chests and buy another weapon, ship speed, firing rate. Then wreck the Thunder!!!
This is my order of upgrades when I have $2600:
Begining: level 2 ship, +4 treasure chest, +3 treasure chest
After first boss: level 3 ship +4 weapon
After second boss: level 4 ship, (what +4 upgrade you want. I perfer +4 firing rate. If you have trouble pick up +4 ship speed)
Right before third boss: sell treasure chests, buy +3 weapon, +4 ship speed, +4 firing rate.
And then WIN!!!!!!!

to get "free gold from the lachhh pirate" you have to click out of the screen and wait for him to come in pause area and wait till he says ill give you some free gold and re click on screen and you get it

How on earth do you get "Free Gold from Lachhh the Pirate"?? I recall someone commenting once that you pause the game & wait for him to appear, but I tried using like 5 different methods to "pause" & waited several minutes on each, but no Lachhh.

Protip: when you upgrade ship speed, don't move around a ton; just use the upgraded speed to dodge cannonballs already launched at your location, since moving fast makes you a bigger target.

i fell for the last boss trick...after it's first life i went up to it and then as soon as it respawn it killed me :c brill game though :D

Easy way to reach 100% completion. When you have enough starting gold, purchase level 3 and 4 loot/magnet. When you kill the second boss, you should then sell the magnet and buy the level 3 and 4 damage boost and level 3 and 4 fire rate boost. Rate up so people can see

Sometimes you get so caught up in the game you forget to upgrade. (Only to realize this when you lose). Great game btw.

Hard Badge Tips: Be Sea Lord, circle around clockwise, concentrate on ONLY treasure chests and dodging, ignore all spoils except for chests. You want to kill things as SLOW as possible.
Right away buy Flag 4, Magnet 4, ship upgrade 1. After 1st boss you should have ship upgrade 2 and have or be close to Magnet 3. By 2nd boss you will SELL magnet 3 and replace it with Weapons 4. After 2nd boss, ship upgrade 3. ASAP get Magnet 3 again. At 3rd boss, sell Magnet 3 replace with Fire Rate 4. After 3rd Boss Final ship Upgrade, replace Fire Rate 4 with Flag 3 and for final slot buy Speed 4. Then concentrate solely on surviving till 4th boss. After 4 boss, you are done.

So I was really confused by crawl138's explanation of "Get free gold from Lach the pirate". What you need to do if click on another program so it auto-pauses (the normal pause won't do) and wait for the picture to slowly rise (it starts almost immediately and takes about 15 seconds). Once you get the offer of gold, click to resume and you've got the medal (and starting cash).

Changing rating to 1/5 as 2nd level boss is clearly a fuking cheat, bullets clearly go past my ship but always registers as a hit, also not getting correct medals.

Should have more anchor drops so you can get health back, difficulty curve is way too steep, money isn't earned fast enough. Not a bad game though. 3/5

Really cool, the starting money thing was really cool. Separates it from the rest of the upgrade games. Awesome game!
