Under rating threshold (show) Small guide to hard badge: play for a while to learn the attack patterns of the bosses and raise your starting money to like 2k. Start with a ship upgrade and both +3 and +4 loot. By 1st boss you can get another ship upgrade and a +2 weapon (no more is required). When 2nd boss come, you can probably replace +3 loot for the highest pirate flag. For the last boss, you can have another ship upgrade, replace +2 weapon to +4 weapon, and get 3rd pirate flag. After it, you can have the last ship upgrade, then replace +4 loot to +4 fire rate and buy 2nd pirate flag. You ship will be powerful, just flee when you are surrounded, few enemies are no match for you. After defeating the last boss for like +2x, you should have enough score for hard badge. Give it a + ;O)

Under rating threshold (show) To get the free gold from Lachhh the pirate you need to click off the flash player screen. The game will pause and Lachhh the pirate will start harassing you. When Lachhh tells you that he'll give you free gold if you come back click on the screen again. Hope this helps!

Under rating threshold (show) Tip: Upgrade your Loot and Magnet! It will help you level faster in the end. Then worry about your Weapons. Finally, when you start off with 2k+, Start with the most expensive Flag and then do your Loot/Magnet upgrades, then finally your Weapons. + So that others will see this please.

Under rating threshold (show) For the hard badge, max your loot and magnet (i.e. the 3rd and 4th upgrade of looting) at the beginning to get more money; then increase your speed. Make your self as weak as possible, dont upgrade your attack or fire rate. Use the increased speed to dodge enemies' attack, try to hit the enemies with higher hp (e.g. the blue shark and the small boat), in this way you are harder to kill enemies and your "boss arrival" bar fills slower, this means you have more time to see the treasure box, more treasure box = more money = more score. In conclusion: avoid killing enemies and always hit treasure box. Only upgrade your attack if you think there are too much enemies and bullets that you cant handle them anymore. Later sell the 3rd upgrade of looting to buy other upgrades. My final upgrades were 4th weapon, 4th fire rate, no speed upgrade, 4th looting, 3rd and 4th flags. I earned the hard badge in this way, hope it helps :)

Under rating threshold (show) You should first max loot+magnet and after shipspeed. For the second boss buy some Damage and sell it after the boss. You will be able to get more then 20 000 money before (=score) before the third boss. Just focus on getting the boxes and try not to kill ships. For the 3rd boss sell all +loot/magnet and buy max dmg max speed and firerate. After the last boss sell firerate and buy magnet/loot again ... easiest way to get the 30k

Under rating threshold (show) I'd really like to be able to see your score while in game, not just your current money. For the badge, I kept playing far past what was enjoyable just to make sure I had a high enough score. Turns out I had almost twice what was needed (60k) when I finally suicided.

Under rating threshold (show) Really one of my favorite games. Seriously needs a sequel. Biggest tip I have for the medium and hard badges (ESPECIALLY the hard). Raise your loot upgrade above all else. I know that sounds like terrible advice, but trust me. I got the hard badge on my 3rd try (from starting at the very beginning. All my data from before was erased). The 2nd flag upgrade is great because it improves everything. Then focus on speed, and firepower. Also, once you get level 5 on every upgrade, the final boss (both forms) are total cake walk. I could have keep going for hours but I finally stopped when I collected 60,000...dunno why. Just wanted t make sure it would award the badge I guess. 10/5, love this game.
