It would love it if the graphics adopting pixel art style just like the user interfaces, it would be a nice sense of rpg adventure games, besides that, this game is very good, 4/5

Why does Cutybunny give 1,000 less exp than butterfly? It is SO MUCH HARDER. 1,000 health more plus heavily damaging lightning bolts... that follow you? Cutybunny should be giving 4,000 exp and Butterfly should be giving 3,000, not the other way around.

I haven't played Zelda since it first came out on Super Nintendo, and yet when I started playing this game, I realized I was humming the Zelda music. How the hell do I even remember that music?

just a funny glitch~ you can press "NUMBER" to change your weapon (1-8 according to the weapon list, press SPACE and check it) Then, switch your weapon continuously by pressing "NUMBER KEY" when you are attacking enemy (no matter normal attack or special attack), you can see the different! (for example, switch 2 and 7 continuously + normal attack, it would become more powerful -- >200damage / 1 sword hit OR >60damage / 1 ice ball hit although your physical/magical skill is on low level"" switch 5"Boomraxe" and 7"Blue Ice Scepter" + special attack, the attack would upgrade as the 6"Blue Boomraxe" and 8"Black Ice Scepter" one, although you don't get those item(6 and 8).

Nice game, really. Pretty simple but with no bad points :) There are multiple weapons, bonuses, a lvlup system. You got the base. Now you can try to make a game more complete with a higher content, more inventory items, a huge map, more stats to increase, differents graphics and musics etc. ;) Oh, just about the band-aid, there should be a cooldown or something 'cause it makes you too easily... "invincible" for a few gold. Remember in Zelda for exemple, the potions/faeries aren't that easy to gather and you're still limited to 1-4 ^^
btw hope you'll improve this ;)

FANTASTIC 5/5: it would be even better if there were a quicker way to use an off-hand item like in the original Zelda. I found myself NEVER using the boomerang of anything other than the sword unless I absolutely needed to. Oh, and it was kind of annoying to have to farm for gold at the end just to buy that useless shield to get the last badge.

One tip of minor importance: There is a river of lava on the far left, second square from the bottom. At first I did not recognize it as such, I thought was just a wall. Indeed it is lava, use your ice wand to cross it.

Ah, the memories. This is the game that originally brought me to Kongregate all those years ago, and now it has the badge of the day.

Nice game! I love the old Zelda from NES, so I enjoyed this game too. :o)
Just a few hints:
- It doesn't matter if you buy all special items in world one (weapons, +1 live, +1 magic). You can still buy these things in world two. You miss nothing. ;)
- In world one I always upgraded power, magic and live one by one, so they were balanced. In world two you come to a Colosseum were you have to beat 30 waves. Beat those waves 5 times and you will max-out all 3 abilities.

HAVE FUN AND GET ALL BADGES! :D

I hope one day there will be a part 2. I've beaten gordzak, have all stats on lvl 21 and now have nothing to do with my awesome powers...
Anyways: 5/5!

I feel a little ashamed that I didn't figure out how blocking/reflecting worked until I was just about done with world 2. All you do is face the projectile and stand still when the it hits you.

If you have trouble at the start of the game: level hearts/health to 3, then attack. Buy the 800gp armor. Go to 1 south of NorthEast grid square to the cave. Make this your first cave. At the end of the cave is a free sword that makes your damage 20 rather than 2 with stick. Also, a cave is a great place to level a bit. fight and die in a cave (or save and quit) and you will start again at the cave entrance. I recommend a 4 health and 4 attack before other caves...this sword also allows one to cut the bushes and get to other parts of the map grid.

It's been like three years since the first time I've played this and it's just as good now as it was then. You really ought to consider making a sequel.

Sadly, it's just hour after hour of boring and repetitive hack and slash. Zelda at least had interesting stories, characters and settings to keep it fresh.

Best way to exploit this game:
Grind xp/gold at the COLOSSEUM (it's in world 2). First two times through you can get health/magic elixirs (they give you minor regen). After that, you get a chest of 500 gold reward every time through (huge help for buying the $5k items you need to complete the bestiary badge). In the process of grinding I also noticed that AFTER you get each stat to lvl 30, you can level each one up ONE more time. This costs a ton of xp, but that doesn't really matter seeing as you it's a ridiculously easy grind. Maxing attack makes you fire LASERS (yes. it really does. 999 damage per hit at that.), health basically makes you invincible, and magic basically gives you infinite mana. Takes a couple times to grind all that xp through, but if you pick the attack one first, each run through the colosseum is easily under 15 minutes. [+] so others can see.

Game heavily inspired by legend of zelda with some classically annoying Castlevania Simon's Quest-style text boxes. Not a bad effort at all I like the game

For the last badge, if you miss like me one monster in your bestiary - the butterfly - you can find it in level 2, on your map it's 3rd area (the top cave), the butterly is hidden in a bush on the left of the cave. The other hidden monster is cuttybunny, found in a bush area on the left of your house. 5/5 have fun !

BEST DEAL EVER!

The completely north tile is good for farming money as the bushes almost always give a coin and respawn after leaving the tile and going again.

He switches weapon and shield arms REALLY fast. Press right shield is in left hand, press left and shield is in right hand. He's crazy fast

I really enjoyed the game. But after the final boss I should farm 4000 gold to buy all equipment and get the last badge. A real disappointment.

I know many people won't care about this, but some tips for the 1st boss in the castle at the top right in the 1st world: you should have the throwing axe by now. Use it to keep some distance from the boss. The boss has 3 skills (from what I saw those minutes i fought it): A tentacle sweep (yes, it's a giant squid, and the attack is shown by pulling it's teeth back to himself), A summon ability that summons flying bats or whatever they are (Not marked in any way), and a laser beam, marked with a blue eye. Just take some more distance whenever he's blinking white- red, and you'll be fine. Pattern for sweeper tentacle is to the right, then to the left. Laser always shoots in the same directions in the following order: Middle, Right, Left, Middle. I hope this helps the ones having trouble, even though this is an easy boss.
