One tip of minor importance: There is a river of lava on the far left, second square from the bottom. At first I did not recognize it as such, I thought was just a wall. Indeed it is lava, use your ice wand to cross it.

Sadly, it's just hour after hour of boring and repetitive hack and slash. Zelda at least had interesting stories, characters and settings to keep it fresh.

In olden days, the skilled programmers of the time brought the arcade to the populace's Atari or Omigo. Those ancient skills were lost long ago. In times of now, craven coders deposit glitches and bugs on the internet. Will a brave, skillful computer nerd emerge so the people may rejoice in the thrills and excitement of older times? Nah.

The top-middle grid in the overworld is a good place to grind money. Because of the dense bushes. Bushes have no exp but their drop seems like the same as normal enemies. You can get about 15 enemies' worth of drop per travel (which takes about 20 seconds.) The dropped amount is too random but I suppose no less than 50 per travel.

"All" items my butt. It means all the items from the chests. For example, I never bought the 800 gold armor and I still got the badge.

Recommendation for players
Grind bosses for exp. To do this, as you kill them and gain the exp, go to your menu and save and quit. The bosses will remain alive as long as you left in the middle of their death animation. I did this with Gordzak, since his boss room is 3 rooms from the entrance, and the enemies on the way allowed me to grind for coins to get the upgraded equipment

why does the town store have two different pieces of chicken, that look the same, cost the same, do the same, and even have the same description?

how to deal with a horde of rat zombies: get them all into one lump, face the lump, swing you weapon. they just keep walking at you and are too dumb to go around. the only problem is the high health and sheer numbers they have, and that they all chase you, albeit slowly.

the rat can't hurt you no matter what if you stand directly 1 block diagonal to them. i type this as i stand next to 2 of them

Year 14 of endurance battle round 30. Boss takes one damage then teleports away 5 times in a row... again. Telegraphs are all off-screen for his one-hit-you-loose moves.

Bosses in this game have SARCASTICALLY too many hitpoints. Like, 3 health bars is where I got the point and they all have 8.

Both of the bushes that contain butterfly and cutybunny are in the grassland area, butterfly (who is just a suped up moth) and cutybunny (much more dangerous, like a pigknight but healthier) are located at the northeast edge of the mid top panel, and at the northeast edge of the conspicuous stone on the panel just to the right of your house.

I'm sure when this game was created it was acceptable for the time; but the lack of a minimap, the need to toggle between Inventory and main game just to figure out where the heck I'm going is a real challenge.

I felt the exact same way playing this as I did the original LoZ; bored to tears, and wishing I was playing something else. Better to parody a more entertaining RPG, next time. 2/5 for the effort, though.

I haven't played Zelda since it first came out on Super Nintendo, and yet when I started playing this game, I realized I was humming the Zelda music. How the hell do I even remember that music?

The fact that the monsters keep respawning and you have to repeatedly clear a room every time you pass through it makes this game boring quickly

http://prntscr.com/ehry92 Need help? I messed up the levers before I use the proper way to activate all the levers at the same time (Dual boomraxe special move). The entrance opened but the key for the boss didn't spawn. So Do I have to restart all over again?

I hope one day there will be a part 2. I've beaten gordzak, have all stats on lvl 21 and now have nothing to do with my awesome powers...
Anyways: 5/5!
