For anyone having issues with speed stars wait til you have the 3rd set of leg and pick spider legs, auto-cannon (1st weapon 2nd row), and High caliber cannon (same spot in shoulder). The latter of which pierces through enemies and combined they let you blow up most bosses in 2-3 shots of the cannon.

why is it not in the big screen at the bottom of the game window, I do not see the quick access buttons to the options of the game. I try to zoom, or anything done

The story comic strips are nonsense, and it could've done with more enemy variety, but the attention to detail in the environmental damage effects and footstep marks is neat. 4/5 for now.

I think he played in that base just as some kids play in old deposits nowadays.
It was a popular thing to do in the '80s by what I know (and what my father told me). Consider an old unused military base as a deposit.

Would anyone here consider this game an RPG? Or something Sem-RPG? You do have to gain XP, upgrade your mech, and you also gain health as you level and things of that nature, I think it does fit the tag of "RPG".

More Health Drops would be nice and maybe every time you beat the campain the bossrun thing it should get harder every time you beat it.

Soooo for the side missions the goal for gold is (afaik):
defend, destroy - loose almost no life (~20hp is ok?)
intel, rescue - destroy everything
cut power, secure - destroy everything fastF
For most of the side missions the homing missile seem to be the best shoulder weapon because you can spam it while running with full speed and it seeks the targets itself, as front weapon I like the rocket launcher but others work fine too I guess.

For more stars on the Secure and Defense missions kill as many as you can. For Rescue missions, you also need to kill all enemies, speed doesn't seem to matter. The "lose 500 lives in one level" is about HP, in Survival mode with the Repair Droid that's easily done. Killing a boss with a single strike is doable to the last boss on a stage, done easily with Nuclear/Orbital strike on the 1st lvl.To kill 25 infantry use any rail legs & run them over. To Complete a lvl with shoulder weapons remove front cannons. Having them equipped but not using them does not work. To kill 125 enemies with miniboss, use its weapons or run over stuff. Buildings count too. I did the "Boss run with light machine gun" using the Homing Cluster shoulder weapons as it has a lot of damage & short reload as it's helpful fighting off rockets and helicopters. To finish a level with less than 10 HP, attack the last boss until it's really low and get hit until you're under 10 HP, then kill boss fast. Hope this helps!

I am quite certain that success in Defence missions is NOT based on how full your health bar is at the end, but instead it's based on HOW FEW HITS IN TOTAL you took. I'm saying this because I finished Defence 1 with full health (!!) at the end of the mission through judicious use of the Energy Cell - Azote Chilling System (less cooldown) combo and collecting Medkits at the end of the level and I got a single bronze star. I then tried Defence 1 again with Time Control Device 2.0 - Azote Chilling System and I did my best to minimize the number of hits I took in total, finished with 305/310 health, and I got silver instead of bronze!

To all those posting about stars... I don't know exactly what the formula is, but filling all the quests, complete destruction (including buildings) and short time are the components. Damage taken doesn't seem to matter.

tried a side mission very fast: zero stars, tried to kill and destroy everything: 1 star, did it without getting hit: 1 star. What do u want me to do game ??? Sorry but thats a No-Go, 1/5.

Please make it more clear how to get stars in each level. I beat "Cut Power 4" without getting shot, and still got zero stars.

Game idea = 5/5, Game realization = 2/5
Too much lag, even at LOW video setting. Also, no info are given about how to get the stars, on both Campaign missions and side ones. Meh.

Too many OP weapons. Near end missions are easier than earlier missions cuz of weapons like autocannon and likes.... need more missions I think :P

Even at low levels the non-boss enemies have too much health. Takes hundreds over shots to even kill one. This is too cumbersome

Got the BOTD and I'm gone. The game has trouble recognizing my mouse click so I have to hold it down to spam shooting? Boring.
