There are not nearly enough health packs. I haven't been able to get a single one after you go through that first level where you're trapped with all the tanks. You still have half a level and a final boss left after that! and no way to imrpove your health!

I don't get all this wining and moaning: I'm a real sucker in shooter games but I got BotD on my very first try. Anyway I, like most others, don't like the cover not being a cover, the power ups being often power-downs, the inconsistency of damage taken basing on enemies, the lack of checkpoints and the lack of a map. It seemed to me an honest in-betweener 2/3 stars for shoo-em-up lovers which I am not

I don't know how a turd like this made BotD. Cover doesn't stop bullets, powerups are worthless, no checkpoints, no map, all enemies do the same damage, etc... C'mon man!

When the cursor is outside the window, the mechanical commando keeps following the last direction commando (up/left/down/right) for some time. Pushing the direction arrow several times solves it. Perhaps because I'm playing it on Windows.

Got a bug to report. Running this game on Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I you're playing, at any time if you press Page Up, game crashes. Tested it several times.

The badges ARE possible, but I agree it's a long ragefest. I had to abuse the pause for survival. Hope it helps for badges. Total Damage can't exceed 5 hits, or 25 damage. TOTAL level damage, not ending health, so Health Packs won't help. Kills must be 100% (I think), by far the easiest, except Stage 1. Use Homing Missiles there; bullets kill mechs too slowly and its honing hits more footsoldiers faster than Rockets. Time for Stages 1, 4 and 5 must be under 2 minutes, Stage 2 under 3 min. 30 sec. and Stage 3 under 2 min. 10 sec. Homing Missiles go through walls if you're against it and fire "inside" it. They'll go out the other side and hit anything onscreen enough to be honed in on. You can go inside walls and be untargetable until you come out of it; all weapons still work. I've seen this at: Stage 4 semi-boss fight, get behind the wall to the right when screen auto-moves down - Stage 5 boss, go behind the wall in the nook at the lower-left and you can traverse within the whole wall.

controls are at best glitch it doesn't load properly half of the time and the hit detection is Atari 2600 awful you deserve the 1 star I gave you

You get no explanation on how the game works (like, those power ups?) and only have seconds to read critical mission infos WHILE UNDER FIRE?? Thanks, but no thanks.

gold for time is just impossible(bronze is already hard lol)... at least the impossible badge is really impossible xd.

My hint: don't play this game. It's too damn hard. And too damn stupid idea to not create autosaves during missions or checkpoints. I prefer games where the designer do not focus on hardness but on balanced experience and this one has bugs like do not give enough health packs, make most drops wear out of time, do not make visible the map or where to go and too much, I mean extremely too much dodging here. Poorly designed and do not worth to be played. I hope those who like this game enjoy it.

Spent more time on this than I ought to have ... the getting stuck in movement or from some weird off-screen glitch was too much. Left me in the lurch more than once. Giving up on this BOTD.

When the glitchy movement prevent you from moving 5 pixels diagonally and instead continually move you in a circle around health packs/power-ups....

@GeniusPlayer: Try getting some more stars to unlock the more powerful weapons. Once you have those, start a stage and if you don't get the more powerful weapon soon then restart the stage. That should allow you to beat the stage quickly.

"EASY" BADGE?! I think not! They should put a map in or something, and maybe stop it from deciding that when you press a key, it forever moves in that direction until you figure out you have to press a bunch of different keys and the same key you initially pressed.

I finished the first level in 2:21 minutes and I only got the silver star, wtf, I have the whole map in my brain, I didn't stop once, killed the bosses stages as fast as possible. How am I suppose to be faster than this?

Been playing this game, off and on, for perhaps 5 years now. It maybe 1 month or 6 months between visits. Visits may be for an hour or 3+ hours. I tire of games rather easily and this is one of the few I've held onto for so long. And, to put that in perspective, as an avid gamer since the days Pac-Man ruled all the lands, I've played, I'm sure, thousands of different games. Not saying the game doesn't have a wart or two, they all do.

Easy badge not easy, t hould be a medium at least.
Sometimes key pressing does nothing, focus is lost. Also for better experience, close the annoying box "for better experience use Firefox 3". 1/5

Still can't beat the first level for the badge. Wasn't able to last time it came up so I gave it another try -- I got past the midpoint I think of the level and died soon after. (I barely made it through the one with the like 12 turrets. Died with like a 42% level kill number.

I use a trackpad which makes aiming difficult, but I discovered you can just hold down mouse1 to continuously fire.... Until it cut out halfway through the level. From then on, I had nothing but mortars, and let me tell you, this game was not meant to be played with just mortars.
