I just realized that when he sees the dog, he says "How cute.. he thinks he can harm me." when the subtitle in the corner says "How cute.. he thinks he can hurt me."

*SPOILER* There's a point in having the knife haha. Use the knife on the pumpkin to carve a jack-o-lantern, light the candle with the cigarette then put it in the jack-o-lantern. You can still kill the guy by using the bottle of bleach (from a kitchen cabinet) and window cleaner in the bucket in the guys room.
