I was casually going about my base sector, _-8, killing a streuner, a goli of the same race as I, flies past, circles back, and shoots me out of nowhere, chasing me all around till I get to base...Wtf?

@JSilvis, I can easily tell your new to darkorbit, and I have to tell you, there is no price. And it takes 700$ on a mega happy hour (meaning 3x more uri with each purchase) to get to ULTRA elite!! which means EVERYTHING is owned and more. Plus the fact that the devolopers EXTREMELY rarely ever come on to Kongregate to check things out.....

OK, if you wanna send raw materials, open the menu and press tab and go to the one you want put number, and dont do RIGHT to the send button but go over the thing and not putting ur mouse out of the menu

Just like me been killed 3 to 4 times a day.? I save my uri and buy weapon and ammo 1 by 1 i get it but its a lot of work to be done. Now I buy iris then later shield. 1 at the time,I advice save the uri and credit think what u buy to up grade the ship.A big Red appeared fly away to safety,you ca not stand the blast with in 8 to 10 seconds with mix rockets (HSTRM-1).just play and have fun...

wow this game is crap, work your way up to a decent ship like a normal player, then get shot down by some douch who found his daddies credit card and dumped 200$ dollars into the game and got the best everything the first day of playing and dosn't even need any skill. Now it's pay us real money or lose your ship. Thanks for wasting my time.

ugh, collecting and trading palladium. Its a hassle, you need to get it from either a map, or a kill. Then when u get 15, u cam go to 5-2 and sell it there at the pirate station

Guide to becoming good in Darkorbit: get your skylab up a lot, its a big moneymaker, then get some drones and a better ship, untill u have 8 drones (any kind) and a goli. After that you still focus on skylab, but go to the uppers, the things there give lots of money, ep, and uridium, i hope again that this helps (P.S. do not attempt to go into the uppers and fight strong creatures without a vengeance ship or higher ^.^)

Actually Germany has created some amazing game companies, sadly Bigpoint was off to a great start than just ruined it.

As with so many of these games the developers have massively under-invested in the infrastructure to run it. At peak times (and even at off-peak times sometimes) the lag makes the game completely unplayable.

Such a pay-to-win game. If you go to shop, all the good items are expensive and you need to pay REAL money for them. Also, there's always a big overpowered enemy ship in the first 2 maps killing all the newbies. About to reach....the portal..... *Gets owned by some retard* OH SERIOUSLY? The repair isn't free and you have to pay uridium or else you can't play. I read somewhere in the forums that 2000 players paid about 1k euros each for some special drones which made Bigpoint about 2 mil. dollars in four days! I've played their other games and they really only care about the money, not the players and there's not much you can do in Bigpoint games unless you pay.

Nothing against Germans because my niece is German. But they make
horrible games. This happens to be one of them. Unfortunately they
give a lot of sway to the wallet warriors who play their games and the
newbies never have a chance. I see they disabled pvp in X1 maps back
in 2010...Way too late now.

This is a game where long time players agree that admins like to bully players and issue chat bans because they get a "kick out of it"
I was online when one week chat bans were issued to new players for asking game advice in general chat.
I WILL not promote any company or game that allows admins they appointed to behave in such a manor.

Truly a cowards game: Cloak in an enemy sector, observe a pilot farming, wait till his shields are down, uncloack and let the fireworks begin. And dont let me start ranting about the pay to win aspect...

wtf? i ask a question in the global chat and there was a mod in the room not answering me and telling me to wait because she was having a "funny" convo and i say wtf its a quick question and she bans me for 2 days and the reason is Using bad words is not tolerated in Darkorbit! And mods are here to help. YEAH RIGHT

It stops being fun because of overpowered players.
They are the ones that ruin the game for new players.
Can't even complete a missions because of constant ambush attacks.
I gave up after playing for a month because there is no real player
protection except for a cloaking device. But even that is a toss up
if some players have the gear to see cloaked ships.

The game works beautifuly. If you would take the "Only fun when you pay us" aspect awayt,this would make game of the year,TRUST ME! :D The origonality if great but the first 2 ships in the first level blasting newbies should be moved to like the 3rd or fourth so we can get to recourses that arnt terrible.

The reason for this is because, in the primary conflict between Attacker and Target, the invader (Attacker) shot first; Target did not attack, and the scripting uses this pacifist reaction to protect them because 3-1 is where players experience the very beginning of their journey on DO. However, in the second conflict between Attacker and Defender, Defender struck first, forfeiting his pacifist status and thus losing protection from enemy fire. This protection makes sure that players in the X-1 map of their company are protected from being totally owned by FE* players who would outgun them so badly, it's not even FUNNY. ___ Otherwise, merciless player killers would constantly swarm home maps racking up kills off of players who are defenseless against even the second weakest CPU enemy. The level of overkill is truly unimaginable when you think about it. _________ The petition would ask Bigpoint to apply this scripting to the X-2 maps as well.
