If you have a few hours per day free and want to get started on this game as a F2P player, just keep in mind you Uridium is precious and your Skylab is your best friend.
Spend Uridium you get, on Iris drones (only the first 3) then bid on the rest, and craft them with parts in the assembly menu. LF3 lasers and B02 shields are also a main focus as that is your main fire power and survivabilty. The Vengeance will be your main ship to start with as it has more speed to run from enemy players. Just bid 100k on it at auction.

This is a game where long time players agree that admins like to bully players and issue chat bans because they get a "kick out of it"
I was online when one week chat bans were issued to new players for asking game advice in general chat.
I WILL not promote any company or game that allows admins they appointed to behave in such a manor.

If you want a good ship, look in the hourly auction. You can pick up a top of the line ship for only 10k if you are on at night, and sometimes even in the day. Other stuff is more likely to be bid on, but if you are patient and check back each hour you will be rewarded

Wow its look like to complete the hardware ...its a hard time ? only 3 or 4 to have that hardware ? and alot of mordon and saimon or sibilion to kill be for to have that hardware...?

Truly a cowards game: Cloak in an enemy sector, observe a pilot farming, wait till his shields are down, uncloack and let the fireworks begin. And dont let me start ranting about the pay to win aspect...

Fun engaging game, immersive at times... until that jerk on 3-4 shots you down repeatedly for a few days and you realize you can't fight him, run away or do quests anymore on those maps. Thankyou "Fearles leader". 1 star wasted 15 kreeds to get the PET only to not be able to do jack **** against an older player

This has to be the worst thought out interface in gaming I have seen. Way too complicated. Could be simplified so much.
Why no real instructions on how to play after the initial guide? It leaves you stranded with absolutely no idea how to proceed to advance.

just rack up 20,000 credits and use it in auction you can literally get goliaths for 10,000 credits if no one outbets you

Ok so the game is challenging in the sense that players will attempt to kill you right from the start but heres a few tips use the auction hall to get a goliath any variant it'll give you the time to escape some times, anything that cost U you want to just get in the auction hall yes i know that means getting millions of credits use the skylabs resource transport about level 4 you can ship 800000c worth to your ship oh and if you have U dont spend on ammo buy lf-3 lasers or an iris drone

Play Nova raider instead. It's basically the same game, but it works and you can play it on kongregate rather than being redirected.

The original Dark Orbit was better. This new version is not just play to win, it's unplayable. You can't attack anything with your lasers because your ship doesn't have a laser cannon, and there's nowhere in the game that tells you how to get one. Missiles work, but you're not allowed to use them in the 3rd mission, so I'm stuck.

First, when you click "Start" to actually fly your spaceship around in space, it takes you off Kong and logs you into Bigpoint's own site. Second, the tutorial is garbage, especially when explaining features (like "configurations") introduced post-2010. I'm writing this in 2016, and this is a real problem. Third -- and most importantly -- your own faction's players have no compunction about murdering you, so you never get a chance to grind, much less attack the enemy faction. Any one of these problems would be tolerable; three of them is unacceptable.

What ever happened to creating a game simply because it was your passion and you wanted to prove yourself capable to get the attention of companies looking for passionate creative developers? Its like most of the games I find are developed with the sole purpose of Pay to Win! Pay to Win is (in my book) only a step above same day downloadable content for a game you just paid full price for. Sure you can play, but the absence of missing content is too prominent not to notice. In this case its a hostage situation where you must pay in order to defend yourself, to speak nothing of any joy you MIGHT experience after paying.

I'm in a bit of disbelief that this scam of a game made it on the "new games" list somehow. Obviously money was involved. Screw it, I'll just say it, they used bribery to game the system. I'm not willing to take a look at what they changed due to how offensive the original was; there is nothing to salvage here. The idea wasn't badly implemented; there wasn't room for improvement. The game itself started from a foundation of pay-to-win and nothing can change that. If they really wanted to distance from the scam pay-to-win that came before, they would have just created a new game that wasn't designed for that model.

FUND THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS. Starfighter Infinity (Video search reference: Starfighter Disputed Galaxy, but most of them don't even show half or more than half of everything) http://www.benoldinggames.co.uk/ Bloody hackers ruined it even though it was pure skill and not a money grabber -.- It was pretty much like LoL but with space ships and you could edit your abilities by using hangars inside the main stations and outpost stations. I am a member of Kongregate and I want to stop playing the Dark Orbit game indefinitely. It is like ending my membership with bigpoint.com where I am not in any way a member of such site, but I am a proud member of Kongregate which has been my only website i enjoy playing online games.

nice plugin glitches on Firefox, btw. it's always nice to be engaged in battle, have the game crash, and be SOL. absolutely terrible.
