I've posted a very important update regarding the ad revenue I'll be receiving for this. Please take the time to read it, it's under the description, as always.

I know you think this is a good idea and all, but SOPA is not built to take down games guys. SOPA is to prevent PIRACY, and by preventing it, it will take down sites that link to sites America has no power over, and shut THEM down, like google and yahoo and other search engines. Not a game someone made

surly those bill would be infringing on our rights to freedom of speech? or has the government so easily forgotten what we were founded on?

Thumbs down and shame on you if you don't understand the point of this news game. It's talking about sopa. If you don't know what that is or the meaning of this game look up SOPA!

Seriously guys, the government is pushing two more bills secretively under the table. Its called ACTA and PCPI and not as much resistance as gone up to that >.< PCPI is some horrible shit, it'll hit on the television and music industry with, mild nudity & foul language. *in their terms of course* I believe that will severely limit our progression and interaction. Let alone quality of a film that makes it what it is etc.

So apparently Obama has decided he has the right to create a altered version of SOPA, that was created and ratified in secret, intentionally doing everything possible to prevent the public from discovering what was going on, so as to avoid exactly what we did to SOPA. Highly recommend you read this.

SOPA is on a back burner... but, Obama already signed ACTA... along with the EU and Japan... why isn't everyone crying about ACTA!?!?! ACTA is INTERNATIONAL!!! SOPA is just the U.S...

Good message here, but this isn't a game at all and people get ratings way lower than this for making way more than some text with a clickable link. So depressing.

example of my previous comment. Under the heading "How does the blocking work?" you really don't answer the question, you just say "DNS blocking" without any explanation of what that is. You could explain what DNS is and how important it is for it not to be blocked.
I'm probably not the best to ask, as googling will usually have a better answer than what I have to say, but I can attempt to provide an answer if that's what you want. DNS stands for "domain name system", and is what translates the domain name that we understand (for example, www.kongregate.com), to an IP address, which computers understand (75.155.140.121). The blocking proposed would prevent you from finding and connecting to the "offending" websites via domain name, though it wouldn't prevent you from connecting to the IP address, which is one of the reasons it would be ineffective in stopping piracy (which is pretty important for a bill named the "Stop Online Piracy Act"). I could get into more detail, but I don't want this to turn into a huge wall of text, and, as always, I suggest you all do some research on your own. Thank you for the question, though, and I'll attempt to explain things better in the future.
