Just thought I'd drop a comment to inform everyone that I've posted a new update. It's right under the description, as always.

Would have been way better if you released in on the 18th. Not like this game took a long time to make, nor the 'blackout' not publicized ahead of time. The other SOPA games were better, if only because they had interactivity and not a website placeholder. I am against SOPA and PIPA, but a lot of games on this site are original and not infringing on copyrights (except the meme-based ones). TL;DR - You took every 5th comment on the other SOPA games and turned it into a "game". Good job on getting your D badge.
Thanks for the input. I was actually planning on releasing this earlier, but I was having issues with my computer, and I was forced to re-install Flash, among other things.

cool, and philosophical, but NOT A GAME. kongregate is a game site. i agree that sopa is bad, and that awareness should be spread, but you could have tried to actually program a game to spread awareness, rather than this. 1/5, but know that i agree that sopa is bad, i just dont agree that this "game" diserves a high rating just for stating that.

"Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics... Even if you win, you're still retarded." I'm bored with this comment thread now, so I won't be making any more responses. Try not to miss me too much. Enjoy life!

Oh, and by the way. This single, still image does not constitute a game. Therefore the "creator" is not a game developer.

andyv001, cool it with the hostility.
1. You're in no place to be calling this game developer a "twat" -- Look at it this way, at least he's not a little conformist prick who's just going to sit around at watch the worse happen around him instead of actually doing something (like yourself, if you didn't get that.)
2. It's sad that your wetting your pants over this, and its even sadder that this is the impression that everyone reading your comments will get from you. Guess you got what you wanted, huh?
Check and mate.

Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable buddy. How does it feel being a citizen of a former British colony? Sucks to be you.

"by your definition"? I had no idea that I was speaking to someone that has the privilege of re-defining words. My apologies. Arrogant twat.

"by your definition"? I had no idea I was speaking to someone that has the privilege of defining words. I do apologise. Arrogant twat.
See, folks, this is what people call an ad hominem attack, usually deployed by people who have no real argument to make as a last-ditch effort to undermine their opponent personally, instead of addressing the debate at hand. And although I don't like what he has to say, I'll defend his right to say it no matter what :D Again, free speech for the win.

I am capable of understand basic English, yes. Thank you for your concern. Being postponed indefinitely does NOT mean it has been "defeated".
It does by my definition, as it would've passed by now if it wasn't for the overwhelming protest and public outrage. But if it does come back in some form, It'll almost certainly not pass. Free speech for the win! :D

Because you are yet ANOTHER game dev trying to make a half assed statement about SOPA, despite it being a legitimate means of copyright owners protecting their intellectual property. Go and make a game instead. But I'm guessing you can't.
SOPA and PIPA would have severely limited the free speech and flow of information, and have little to no impact on piracy. Imagine trying to look up a movie or game review on youtube, only to see it was blocked by SOPA and PIPA. Although, it doesn't matter now, since SOPA has been defeated.

As others have pointed out, SOPA/PIPA do not block websites for US citizens only.
What they do is remove the DNS and possibly seize the website. The DNS is what turns an IP adress (such as 100.240.001.98) into kongregate.com or in general into something.something.
By removing the name, the website can still be accessed if one knows the ip. It is possible to get it, but only if one knows the website's name.
It's not the only thing the two bills do. The website can be shut down for a number of reasons, one of them being "Hi I represent BigFlashGamesPortalCompany and a user on Kongregate (which would be my lawyer, but shush) posted a link to IllegalWebsite.Illegal! Shut it down!".

I liked the Part with the censorship.
Now make a Obama, please give back your nobel peace prize according to the NDAA, game.

Actually, gertdam, it doesn't just affect Americans. If a site is shut down altogether that's American-based, you won't be able to visit it. Also, any website with any scrap of could-be copyrighted American material could be censored, which is bad for all those internet businesses out there. Say your website is blocked in America- which is probably responsible for at least 50% of your sales. This isn't even all of what SOPA could do. This could effect everyone, so it's a good idea for even all you non-Americans to get educated on it.

Soon, kongregate will be taken off the web
"Let's see here, www.kongregate.com... What the...? Why are there virtual policemen running around on my... uh oh, my computer was just shut down... :("
