Such a sweet and (pun not intended) enchanting game. I am glad he remembered the other world and was able to write to his old friends. I hope the squirrel turns out alright. I am glad my friend the old man found closure. Liked the inclusion of Scarlett at the end! I feel like I just read a fantasy novel.

Thank you @BlackOliveGames for this beautiful game. I'm at a crossroads in my life and honestly playing this started as avoiding the problem and ended with a better sense of peace about it. Thank you for reminding me how to look for the joy in the world when it all seems so bleak.

Btw the character's name is Tom because Dylan Dog got his name from Dylan Thomas.

Thanks for making this touching story. I really enjoyed playing through this game a few times over the past couple years. I had been looking for it for quite some time because I couldn't recall the name. I finally found it again last night and showed it to my wife. She really enjoyed seeing someone with the same views on things as she has, and the story moved her, as it did me. Thank you for making a touching, wonderful, and memorable game.

Aww... The moment you finish the story it gives you such a deep sense you have accomplished a long journey. I feel I miss some of the characters... the drunk squirrel :'D

The Continue Story option seems to be not working. I got as far as speaking to Dwarfy P. Frawd and having a conversation with the Cloud and the Tree. I exited the game and returned later, selecting "Continue Story" and nothing happened. When I clicked Start Story, the game restarted from the very beginning.

Wow, this game has.... in simple words....truly changed how I view life from a moral standpoint. It is truly elegant. I would suggest everyone to play it by themselves and understand the game. I for one, was really left flabbergasted (Its really a word :P) by the game. 5/5 would play again! Approved! GLORY PROUD!

Wow. I didn't expect to cry so much... Or at all, really. It's really wonderful to see this... perspective. This subtlety, objectivity that I see people being unaware of. But now I know I'm just as blind. I knew all along that killing the rat was never necessary in the first place, I could just as well have tried using the frog and killing one less. But I killed it anyway. And I knew the phoenix was just as much of a sacrifice as the rat, but it still hurt me so much more. And the story of the old man and his love... I knew they both grew to be happy with their new fate, but it was still so sad to me. It's strange, really, how we want our story characters to be with their true love so bad, even though that hardly happens in real life. Last thing that had me bawling my eyes out: "The colour Royal-blue that you got from the mice. Because everyone needs help once in a while." I guess this game just means a lot to me personally. Thank you for the perspective, thanks for everything.

I'm guessing that this game is getting bad ratings from people who are really called Norman. Since my name isn't Norman, this gets a 5/5 from me. ;)
Eh, I think maybe it's because the game targets a very specific kind of people. In my experience, my favourite films/books/anything are almost never universally acclaimed, but the 'craft' that went into them can always be felt. Hopefully that's what we accomplished with all three of our games so far.

I know of Loom, but have never played it (for some reason). But all of us LOVE adventure games - real, old-school adventure games - and that is what we try to make.

Ah! I didn't mean to insult your pencil drawings! It's just... your storywriting seems more practiced and yet I feel like they were both equally as important/impactful. It's one of those things I look at and realize that beautiful art is probably within my potential range of talent. Like, there's no excuse for... not making. Because there are a million works of art of varying levels of greatness I've totally killed by just... not putting in the effort, dedication, and love like you did. Also I'm like four years behind you in terms of writing and maybe two in terms of illustration. Ugh, whatever. This is excellent. Did I mention the music sort of made this? It's wonderful.
Thanks! The drawings were actually the best I could manage at the time, but it served to give it that child-drawing look that actually fits the game perfectly. Happy coincidence! I hope you like Tainted Olive as well, though it's very different from TGR.

Thank you. The music helped... The illustrations were beautiful and at the same time obviously not the most stereotypically "talented" use of colored pencil. This game was simple and beautiful. I love what you did with the adventurer/friend. This was a fantastic use of an hour of my time. Truly. Again, thank you.

This strongly reminds me of Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson in its relation of magic, color, and Breath; however, the specifics of it are different enough to be intriguing. Beyond that, this game is quite delightful.
For all this will do, the game is unrelated to Warbreaker - even the concept of breath is accidental. I'd read Sanderson before, but Warbreaker I read after the Grey Rainbow was done.

Nice to see the Developer still reading comments on a game that hasn't had 'Game News' in nearly 2 years, about the time it was the badge of the day. As other people have noted: the story is excellent and has a level of depth and design that is becoming less and less common these days. Thanks for the game!

Before starting the game you should look at 'Memories' and 'Secrets'. It adds a different perspective to the game. I know it did for me. Bravo!
