this was a nice short game, was over a little too quickly, played it a second time, and got the orb event, and finished with a 4.0/4.0 instead of the 2.1 i got the first time

Played the game the second time... Why the offers are much better than the first time? Forgot to initialize variables?

is there a save at all? also would be nice if you were able to keep left over stock from the day before or the cash you spent to get it

Awesome game but waaaaaaaay too short. I enjoyed it too much, I guess. I hope for a bigger game in the future! Good work devs!

This is a bloody nice game. I was hoping that it would never end, but that is too much to ask for such a great game. 9000/1 for this game. Sequel maybe? Or a backstory like what happened to the guy with the orbs
If we have the time after our courses end, and people are still playing, I would absolutely love to add more content - it's such a fun game to write for.
Thank you so much for the comment and the kind words!

Why are people asking for an autosave? It's a short game... Really fun game, would like to see a longer version with a little more content and variety.

on ie it just stays on the "loading, please wait...." screen, and on ff, it starts lagging at day 3, and ff crashes after I click on another tab. Is it time to upgrade this 2-year-old desktop of mine?

So far this is a really good game, I quite enjoy being able to see the parts of the games that were its inspiration. Personally the game feels a bit too short; the ending feels a little forced. I do hope that it will be updated soon, and like I said, even with the little things, I think it's damn near perfect. A+ :]
Glad you enjoyed it :D We were given about a month of development cycle and rushed a lot. Still we are very happy to see that the mechanics have worked out for you. Right now we are still coming up with new ideas and stories. Stayed tuned :D

am I able to buy only one specific item at the end of the day? I want to buy swords and meat, but I can only choose one and commit?
That's actually intentional - any stock that you still have at the end of the day should roll over to the next. Do you think this is more confusing than it's worth?

RE: blazzen's point. Happened to me for both bow and chicken. Might be when you had previously not run out of stock of an item. For example, two rounds ago I ended with 4 bows. Last round I ended with 1 chicken. This round I am trying to buy bows, shields, and chicken. I clicked on bows, it initialized to 1. I clicked on shields, it initialized to 0. I clicked on chickens, it initialized to 1.

Please get rid of the ...h...o..r..r..i...b..l..e... t...e...x....t... s...c...r...o...l...l...i...n...g. It's a nuisance to constantly have to be spamming mouseclicks just to see what people have to say.

I impressed the King on my last day, and did everything I could for the rebellion... but I'm his official advisor, not his murderer? Should I NOT have impressed him? I thought getting in close with him would let me become the night...

One thing that annoys me (and the only thing) is that if you click down on a accept/reject, it's a commitment to that button. I can't pull away and let go of the mouse, it's decided on the click. Y'know what I mean? It has messed me up a handful of times.

Also there's a glitch, when you click on chicken to stock up on it, it starts out at 1 instead of zero, giving you one chicken for free

It said the hero wouldn't say an 's' or an 'h' the only person not to say either I -did- sell a bow to like he asked for, and yet I still failed to sell the hero what he wanted somehow.

Hot dang 4.0 on the first run?
I would like to thank Digimon World and Paper Please for the EXP.
Special 5.0 to the author of the game :D
Sorry! We're hoping to add autosave functionality in the future - this is just a student project for now, so we're on a tight development schedule until the course is over. We hoped that since the game's so short, people could get by without saves for now - I'm really sorry you lost your progress.

SO wait Hero find buts loads of loot (usually sold for gold) and gold. That gold is then used on the Merchant who is far to expensive for that crappy gear he pushes. Most of that gold goes to taxes, which are either spent hiring heroes, stolen/lost, or pointlessly spent. Then the cycle repeats, forever.
The timer for the day actually pauses while the anvil's talking! The timer's only running when you have the accept / reject options on your control panel.
