Even though there are some glitches, the game is great. As a biology lover myself, I must say that the way you make people learn about cells while having that much fun is quite awesome. Things learned this way shall not be forgotten. Beautiful indeed.

A good game I think with a nice story good enough to keep me playing to the end. I love the encyclopedia that makes an effective learning method, which I shall suggest to a science teacher I know. I was disappointed there was no sandbox mode. My suggestion is to make some screen or another Sub menu in the HUD to let you know how much resources something would need (ex: on lv 8 you need 2500 AP, 50 FA, 50 NA, 1250 AA).

I'm a little disturbed by everyone talking about how much they learned from this game. It's more or less correct with regards to how different parts of a cell function, but it's a pretty poor guide for the evolution of the cell and all of its component parts. The two scientific advisors to the game are both associated with the Discovery Institute, a propaganda organization pushing "Intelligent Design" creationism in schools.

Learned a fair bit, and its a fun game. Ran into a bug where the membrane started freaking out after I tried moving in two separate directions. It was all twisted up under the nucleus, so moving around was kinda pointless. Lucky it fixed itself after the level finished.

LovED this game. i learned a lot, it was hilarious at times, and it was fun the entire time. this would be great for high school students to learn the different parts and various functions of the cell. :) thank you for creating this game!

Learning about biology in school: 1 year
Learning about biology in a flash game: about an hour.
The hilarity of that: PRICELESS

This is the future of education. It's fun, teaches, and has an entertaining story too. Good work guys I'll definitely be watching for more from you guys in the future.

I did learn as much as or more from this game than I did or ever have learned from any biology class, and I'm a science major.

It's not that the concepts presented are simplified, they're flat-out wrong. Organelles don't spontaneously jump into being, they evolve; the "junk" DNA of cells is really that, it doesn't serve any useful purpose; and microbes are not "front-loaded" with all the info they need to make complex forms. These are creationist superstitions. That's what happens when you get your "expert advice" from creationists (Jed Macosko and David DeWitt are notorious Intelligent Design proponents). This game isn't educational, it's diseducational, and so it fails at its intended purpose. For that reason, 1/5.

I am confused about the robot's actions after the rocket takes off. If the cell would be destroyed then, what would happen? The robot would destroy civilization.

First the game does not leak of accurate description for they can de bound in the ecyclopedia if you care to read. Second it leaks of another thing. Free-play levels and level-creator. The game is way too short. Neverless great game 5/5.

not a bad game even though i'm a action, defence player. But a little warning about the lack of NA would have been nice now i'm stuck lol.3/5 cuz it's to edgucational and pretty borring for those like me who just want to see something blow up.I did favor it to play it later when i dont fell like doing anything :-)

For those of you who are complaining, it isn't supposed to be an entirely accurate depiction of everything that goes on in a cell. If they had explained everything, it would take hundreds of levels. The difficulty of the levels is actually quite comparable to how difficult it is for cells to regulate everything at their level. The lessons aren't meant to be boring, they're meant to be (partially) educational. Finally, your difficulty with the game may just show that you can't multitask.

To beat lvl 8 just get >50 fatty acids and >2500 ATP, and do not buy any poison until you do... And when you do get them - just burst buy 50 clicks worth of poison (1 click = 2 poison) and win.
With ~20 lysosomes and ~30 slicers per wave you should be able to defend yourself easily until you farm the required Glucose to get these amounts of fa and atp.
When you do buy the poison, you might want to use any remaining atp to move around, and evade some of the viruses that will come at you, in order to slow their intake. You should be able to reach 100% and win pretty fast though.

If you try to move and you accidentally move your mouse outside of the window while dragging, the game won't let you drag again or do anything related to the cell...
