This was pretty nifty: educational AND fun!
Judging by the ending, the prediction of that meteor strike was quite inaccurate after all. I can't but help seeing that as a sneer towards all doomsday conspiracy thinkers!

last level: wait until you get 50 fatty acids before producing any toxins, as soon as you reach 100 you win, even if there are viruses

@Melonhead use the chloroplast and the mitochrondia separately so you don't need more than one green thingy. Use 8 defensins and get lots of lysosomes.

How do you get past "The Longest Journey"? I can't figure out how you are supposed to win without all the essential pieces such as glucose and ATP.

Wow. Just. Wow. This is awesome! Its really fun, but last time I checked platypus dont have chloroplasts. Other than that, one of the best games I have played. 5 out of 5

In the cell craft encyclopedia, on the ATP page, on the "in science" side, the e in adenosine triphosphate isn't in bold.

on the last level if you make your membrane large enough it will start spazzing out and flying around wildly all over the place then you can recycle it a few times and it will vanish then you can spam toxin and there will be nothing to damage from entry/exit and your lysosomes and slicers can go straight to work just be sure to save up enough resources first.

For the last level, I recycled both my chloroplasts. You need at least 50 fatty acids and 1250 aminoacids. By recycling the chloroplasts, you have plenty of fatty acids. You can get the aminoacids and glucose by moving around the map. I had 14 lysosomes and 30 slicer enzymes for every attack. Once you have enough acids, you can queue 50 toxins and win.

I loved this game but it is a bit too easy 5/5 stars but I did not die once in the whole game also I would like the game to be longer 8 stages is to short for me be this in like 2 hours but the best 2 hours of my life.

Beat game, I found 10-11 liposomes, 50 slicer enzymes, 8-9 defenses, that's 50% should defeat any virus in the game with a little bit of DNA repair for the infester. Most of the time you want to two chlorophyll and two mitocydria. Make sure you have enough of those green blobs to stop the free radicals.

Lv.6 seems really difficult. I built up lots of splicer enzymes and defenses, and then my nucleus gets infected and I run out of ATP and lose. I'm giving up.

Beat the second stage, you have to build splicers, I waited to build slicers until there was like 80 viruses comes at me, whoops.

I loved this as a kid. Remember playing it while eating some great tacos. Now I'm finding it as a useful resource for my high school Accelerated Bio class. Time sure flies, huh?

Tip for level 8:
Get 50 fatty acids, 1250 amino acids, 2500 ATP. Then instantly toxic the monster by pressing the button 50 times. This allowed me to beat the level in 312 seconds.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. I played it so much, it teached almost everything I know about micro-biology, which interests me a lot. Thanks for making a truly beautiful game, educative and fun.

I got a bug where the virus would try to get in but couldn't for some reason and was stuck like that. I took advantage of this and then used the spare time to buff up my cell all I could.

Any strategies on how to complete all 8 levels im currently on 6 but cant make it past the second wave.... i need the extra credit so any help would be appreciated

I've always wondered where the genetic weirdness of platypi , being the only mammal to lays eggs and have a venemous bite came from.
