I saved and exited, then checked my ancestor records. Once I exited, my save was gone!
I was right at the end of the game too.
Won't be finishing this one... :(

please include a save option without the need to go back to main menu, seems a bit ridiculous to me. I know it's retro and all, but this is a bit overboard.

This game manages to actually get that retro feel unlike 98% of all these faux-retro games in that it isn't just plain blocky graphics and the music isn't chiptunes trying to pass as "old" music. It reminds me of SNES or Genesis. Good job.

This game was amazing. Multiple endings, non lineal game play, unique interesting story and a unique character. You said it was pure joy working on it. I say it was pure joy playing with it.

WOW....I'm very impressed. Not just great gameplay, but a good story behind it too. I loved the way the character seemed surprised that all the animals in the world could kill him...because that is very odd, right? I loved the hidden messages, I loved the ending...but I only ever saw the hard ending? What are the other ones like? And how many endings are there?

This game is beautifully crafted. The story was compelling and I couldn't stop. Great game 5/5 and favorited. By the way, how many fun facts are there? I found 3.

Um, is there any possibilty of ChainedLupine you beign finnish...? Because this seems REALLY familiar, if you know what i mean :) (if you dont, google Kalevala)

Has anyone else experienced a bug when you pause the game? Every time i pause i have to click on the settings button then click the X in order to continue from where i paused.

i was really close to the end and the whole game just restarted entirely. what a bug! i died and suddenly my progress was fully erased! good game though. one problem i found is that the jump/double jump/glide controls were usable but a little awkward.

I liked this, very 'Metroid'-esque. But with a spiky hound. Most games on here have the plot of 'There's a big evil boss. Go kill it' so it was nice to see something a little more developed, if still basic.

After you're done with the expansion for the current Legend of Kalevala, you should make either a sequal telling what happens next or a prequal telling what happened before the Ancestors left. There are so many un-answered questions about the past and the future of that world! Questions that I DESPERATELY want the answers to! Seriously, I'm practicaly BEGGING you to make either a prequal or a sequal!

I thought I would try a casual attempt at speed running the game to practice going for the sub 50-minute achievement. My first run-through: 20 minutes, 33 seconds. Hmm... perhaps it wasn't so bad after all.

I love the freedom of being able to choose a good or bad ending. I think that you, ChainedLupine, actually thought of your name while making this game. The bad ending makes you get chained with the pueple animal things, and I think Lupine is some form of wolf? I know Lupus is.
