I had only lost about 20% of my troops, and only part of the enemy royal guard was left. All of my troops retreated and I was given the battle rank of peasant. This moral system is game-breaking.

Historically Inaccurate but still enjoyable. Controls are finicky and music could be better. Varangian guards werent viking soldiers and while they were elite axemen, They were from byzantium or the eastern roman empire/purple romans. Also varangian guard were not formally adopted as a regiment for the byzantine army in 1066. Sorry im a history nerd. Fun game, I would recommend as a timewaster but not an educational source. Good effort and great voice acting btw

Wow. I played this on hard and the first battle only 215 people were left alive out of over 8000. That is very intense.

Pretty nice game and idead, but the commands need a lot of work, key stroks during battls dosent register well and the bow controll some times just completly fails. So some polishment need here. Evrything else, its just pretty good.

Honestly, I seriously love this strategy game because the way how this game plays out is unique and I still haven't found any strategy game that acts like this one (if you did, I would like to know).Finally, I would also like for other people to play this game as well, but some advice, be a bit patient with the game and try your best to outflank the enemy as much as possible (try not to get "double" or "triple out-flanked", it happened to me while I was playing my own battles).

Take down enemy's ARCHERS first, then try to get advantages in the melee fight. when enemy's morale is down, TAUNT them as many as you can(every unit should taunt when they are not in melee fight).

honestly love this game so much, ive only noticed one problem. if I pull back the bow too soon it gives me a 1200+ firing angle and when i fired it went behind me. not really a big deal, its only happened once.

That moment when you pull a Soviet Russia and win with 3000 more losses than the enemy, having routed almost 4000 enemy soldiers...

Great game but it seems to have some really annoying bugs. Occasionally when I have unit in a formation in the setup phase, I will start the game and the units will suddenly snap to a a different formation and I can't break them out of it. Also, half of the time the keyboard input for the minigames doesn't work at all :(

Would be nice if my archer ever actually shot at anything. Guess they're useful for taunting, though, but it puts me at a disadvantage because the enemy's archer DO shoot.

here are the stats to my pre-made battle. http://prntscr.com/gsotqs I used full archers with strong attack and courage and enemies with weak defense and courage to try and taunt and archery them to death and it only just worked!
