I totally agree with people who say that this game must expand, I mean, this is only the 1066! Evovle through the ages and military weapons and campaigns! The Roman Emporer Cesar and his zest for conqest, to the Trench warfare of WW1 in the early 1900s, to WW2 and to the mordern day. And maybe something future like, like laser guns and aleins :P Overall, 10/5

strategy for bridge battle (story) position you spear militia in a shield wall at the bridge. You want to get to the bridge before they do. Hold out the bridge and whittle down their forces. Then advance on what is remaining( For me they were right outside the bridge) and outflank them. Btw love the game. The only thing that I wish they had is flanking and battleing from the side instead of just front and back.

This is a Great game.. especially considering it is a Kong free game. The AI is a bit easy to abuse, though. ere is some advice for players: You dont need archers.. and can ignore enemy arches. Toy in the back field, use fast moving units to pull and trap, and flank, rinse repeat. Taunt with the rest of the army. King rating every skirmish.

dear developers: please make a sequel, this isone of thebest games i have EVER played on kongregate. the turn based strategy is awesomeness...good job!

Remarkable game, but I find it odd how on hard mode, the fearless Vikings flee when at the same morale as the English, who's King is currently being wrecked by Hardradi.

This game is excellent. I don't know about the quality of the multi-player because I haven't tried it, but the single player is innovative to a degree that is often unmatched in paid games. The mini-games aren't annoying (as they tend to be in games), but are rather fairly skill-based (except for charging, which is just button mashing) and feel like a functioning component of the game rather than a tacked-on extra. The built-in history lesson is nice bonus as well. The ability to choose your own force and how you use it is fun and sandboxy while the limited units makes the game very tactical. Overall an outstanding game and a personal favorite of mine. I would rate this game an 6 out of 5 but that's not possible, so 5 out of 5 will have to do. Bravo and encore.

The game has a good concept but enemy taunts are too strong. They will get a poor taunt and my morale will go down by 6-7 points and when I get a brutal taunt my morale will go up about 3 points. Apart from that it's a great game.

Totally needs as sequel. Maybe one playing in the 30 Year war? Swedish, German and Bohemian Troops - all with different specials. Also different fight system with musketeers and lancers.

for the record everyone, this game follows history perfectly. (story campaign) so having a second part wouldnt make since, unless it was for another historical moment in history. Also, i love the narration of this game. good job!

for those of you who dont know, 1066 was the year that william, duke of normandy invaded england. The english in this game actually would represent the saxons, who lost and the normans won. this lead to a french ruller controlling england and thus the start of a beautifull powerstruggle for who controlled the thrones of england and france. The englash ended up controlling normandy for a while but they lost that in a campain in france.
