Does anyone else have a problem where King Harold just disappears during the 3rd battle? Three times now I've maneuvered a knight and Duke William up around the top to try to take King Harold down early and it's been going well until he suddenly just vanishes from the board. The enemy doesn't lose morale as if he died or ran away or anything. Completely ruins my strategy.

So this game is awesome but my shield wall walked away from the battle. Not retreating just charged through all enemy lines straight off the other side of the map...

Ah yes, the formidable lines of Vikings. All in shield lines changing and breaking those petty English. But wait! They called us a turd! Well, time to run away... clearly we can't handle this right now. I've found you can win by having maybe 3 units charging and fighting, then have every other unit in the back taunting. Gosh, I remember in history class when they taught us how the English beat the French by wounding them once physically and then simply taunting till they ran.

litteraly my entire army vs 2 sets of archers and the enemy general, and my forces flee because the enemy general called them low-born orcs...
Sigh....

Men: Sir they have 5 calvalry charging straight at us! And 3 well trained archers!
Me: I AM THE VIKING KING, YOU HOLD THAT LINE!!!!!!
*Some men retreat*

Normans lost=0, Normans fled=0, shield walls=0, boar`s snout=0, Taunts=0, charges=0, hand-to-hand=0 and archery=4063. Vikings lost=4063 and vikings fled=2264. I won by using only archers :) army morale in the end was still 100.

you know you play this game to much when at the end of a custom hard large battle ends in you have 70 moral and beating the other army in all 8 ending stats[btw WTF DOES HAND-TO-HAND MEEN?... whole regiments killed in melee?] also killed about 150 in an arrow shower... 5 groups stacked right in my archer lane at close to max range, one men at arms fled

methods that work for me with each army... ENGLISH there spear men are the weakest in the game so I use 2 and put them both on each side on the map to flank an already fighting force[outflank bonus] and I use bore snout formation for 3 of my 5 huscares so they have an upgraded attack with out the movement penalty of the shield wall while the other 2 are on the edge of the map in fount of my spears. VIKINGS similar to my English army strategy but I use my spears more aggressively because they have ok stats for combat vs other spears[or flanking]NORMAN 5 cavs to charge what ever is on the front of the other army and then run away as they are not that great in prolonged combat. As for men at arms I have then right behind my cavs so they can clean up the mess of my cav charges and spear men are flankers usually.

Men! Call them mean names and they will retreat.
Don't get me wrong-awesome game 5/5, but even kindergarten kids can fare better against names than these guys.

@Mohammed3570 Maybe, but I thought the best thing about the English was their effectiveness with Shield Wall even with the Spear Militia. The Normans IMO have the strongest archers.
