More people should like this game. This is FINALY a historically accurate pirate/navy game. This has 3.86/5 because most people like corny pirate games. This has REAL battles that took place at a REAL time. Also, the game has fabulous graphics! This deserves 4.3/5!

This game is completely under rated. These games done by Channel Four are historically accurate, very good quality, and has had time and effort put in.

does anyone know here master of the secret sea? it is also like this but you can buy upgrades for your ship or buy a new one,trade goods. there are also missions but it has a lot more than this one.

DENNI, the reason my energy bar keeps going up is i play survivor mode. also, when you quit, i still get your loot, unless somebody beats me to it. it's the bonus for having so many points. nobody is cheating. only you and your friends are quitting.

this game use to be a whole lot of fun. now it's just full of people who quit. namely DENNI and RT. i could name more. you think you are real clever by driving off out of bounds and quitting, then coming back to play again with a full ship. no matter how good you think you are, you are a quitter. when i see you log on, i go, "oh, the quitters have joined." i own all three rankings of this game. i didn't get them by quitting. so keep it up little boys. i would think one day you will grow up and actually play through to the finish. i couldn't tell you how many times i have been on my last leg, and made a dramatic come back. of course, i'm not a quitter, so i get rewarded. there's a big difference between be a kid and acting like a kid.

SUCKS,neat idea but such POOR execution!half the time steering doesent respond unless i hit the button twice,enemies have more powerful weaponry against you and not enough upgrades

It is so fu**ing annoying when you play for some time in multiplayer and when you have sth important and have to get off the site, a few seconds later you see this damn text "FRAMERATE TOO LOW" and all your effort to get (let's say) 3000 points turns to ashes...

Really nice concept. We don't get to see a lot of games like this one. It has very nice ideas, but, unfortunetly, very bad features as well. Nice wind physics, but we should be able to control de acceleration a little bit more (besides dropping the ancor, should be possible to sail with 0 up to 3 sails "opened"). The handling is also terrible, it ruins most of the game fun, as well as the auto-zoom (should be controlled by the user). I agree that buying and improving parts of the ship would be just awesome, but the crew idea is very clever. Last thing is...the loot disappears too soon, sometimes I just kept going round and round the loot because of the bad handling and I lost it. Also, when you accomplish the objetives, you don´t have time to sail over the loot. We always lose the last ship loot. Very original game: 3/5..but I, as many other people, expect to see some improvements, as this game has so much potential

controls r all funky n messed up, good concept, bad controls/steering..fix it so it is easier to maneuver your ship n ur golden PEACE!!

It is so annoying that even if I try to be excellent at multiplayer, even 12.000 points (playing about 40 minutes) of experience isn't enough, because in singleplayer you can get 6.000 points having finished only one mission in almost 2 minutes!
In multiplayer we should gain much more experience, so that in high scores I could see who is the the best at MULTIPLAYER, beacuse it's much harder and more challenging than these damn missions with computer!

very well executed but the Engilsh navy has always been the best, they wouldnt work alone and would all relode at the same time, just saying

just wish the cannon shots load up in the middle first then the outside from the middle out more often then not i get my angle messed up or have to slow down drastically because i want to fire a few extra shots before running away. maybe behind load first? indeed great idea tons of potential keep at it!

This game rocks!
Handling a sailing ship should be a challenge, so the argument that it is too difficult is just whining.
The sailing is great, for the most part. Its not perfect, as the fastest point of sailing should be with the wind on the quarter (not running before the wind) but just having it matter at all makes the game very interesting!
The single-player missions were all easy to beat. The multi-play is very satisfying PVP.
I look forward to playing this game a lot more.

physics are wrong! when a boat with a sail is traveling downwind, it is moving its slowest. as the boat turns into the win, but not directly into it, the sails are sheeted in and the boat moves faster. this is a major flaw
