The main problem is that in fights you simply cannot see the enemy ships, making this game more or less a reaction game when they pop up in your tiny sight of view. The enemy, of course, know exactly where you are and where you are heading to the whole time. 2/5

Since everyone's complaining: look at the title - "Trafalgar Origins BETA". Note the word BETA, which means this is still in it's early stages. I personally would keep the suggestions coming in, maybe we might get something added. ;)

Game has a lot of potential. Only the wind should have more effect, also i'd like to see ship upgrades rather than crew upgrades.

The zoom thing it's really an EPIC CRAP !! you can't plan an estrategy of aproximation to other ships because you can't see other ships position, the compass "map" is too ooo bad just because you can't take the advantage of shoot to others bow-stern, which is the best way to sink a boat... The maneuver thing, it's not bad, a ship is not a car, or robot, which could just brake and change the direction, i like that point, with the wind. It's hard sometimes but it's real. The zoom, that really sunk the game from 5/5 to 2/5

hey retards who say we need recent comments go to bottom click see all comments then go to recent on the tab that says highest rated... so stfu there still is he new comment section

Controls are frustrating. I had wind from aft and drifted sideways into powder barrels. Makes a lot of sense, NOT! 2/5

Well, fine game, unfortunately loot drowns a way too fast and loading missions takes forever which makes playing this game terrible to advance.

Very nice game and concept, needs badges as well ;)
but overall performances and user-friendly I have to agree with the comments of bbalboni. The handling is very hard to handle, even though you upgrade crew and it would be nicer if you can control how many sails :) but yes, it's rare gem to have a game like this

great game, i love naval battles, but just so you know, American seamen at the battle of Tripoli were soo damn good that they could ail their frigates backwards.

on the 5th mission in the ARCADE section, all u have to do is sail away from the center and let them kill each other. finally sink the last ship.

My points are the same as the user bbalboni before me, so I'm not gonna type of something similar to, but different from what he said. So instead I'll just tell you how good this game is so far, 3.5/5 will be better after the points listed are corrected. Good job dude. c:

3/5 As other people have said: not a bad game, but the controls/handling need some tweaking and there should be more upgrade choices. The main thing I have to add is that the game kept getting stuck on the loading screen. I am using Firefox and Win7, if that helps you track down the issue.

I have to say that while I like the concept, it felt very rapidly as though my ship was outclassed and the only way to get more money was looting ships from earlier missions. It makes progress rather difficult.

Points for originality, I see potential here. It's ruined by bad handling though. I repeatedly found myself turning in circles because the ship was still trying to go left when I wanted to go right. I kept missing objectives because the ship just wouldn't go where it was supposed to, instead preferring to sail into the floating powderkegs.
While this might be historically accurate as to difficulty controlling, it doesn't make for good game play.

Pretty cool game! Nevertheless, while I appreciate that these ships are lumbering and awkward because it's the most accurate way of depicting them, it just kills the fun. It must have been a terrifying rush to be on one of those deathtraps while you wait and wait for your ship to face the enemy, but I don't think that's the sort of excitement we're going for in video games.

great game, but the handling on this game is ABSOLUTE SHIT!! need to work on that, but other than that good game 3.5/5

This game is wonderful, BUT it could use some hellish tuning. The auto-zoom really screws with you. Handling is a bit of a pain, mostly because its near impossible to do any 'tight' turns. I'd say make another, but take the comments here to heart and grind down the problems.

1/5 simply because its nearly impossible to move around effectively. Even with a good crew member (+40 maneuverability) the slightest gust of wind sends you flying across the map. It had potential, it really did, but the controls ruined the game.

well if the menuverability was a little more compliant and we got all the loot that we didn't run into if the game ends

was a very good game with a unique concept using the wind physics and the crew to upgrade your ship. i do agree with everyone on the part of further customization and the handling diffuculties. This game has some good potential and i would like to see some future updates.

Interesting idea. Needs more sophisticated speed control than stop and go. Provide some way to loot sunk ships once the mission is complete.

i haven't got this game to work yet. character creation works fine, but i can't go into any mission, i just get a loading screen with some historical trivia. so far, i have been told in 4 different ways that women were often secretly sailors during the victorian era.

Whenever a game censors names, I take it as a personal challenge to come up with an obscene name that gets past the filters.

It is pretty good, but the controls aren't very good. I mean, they are realistic, but they seem stubborn and sluggish.

They should stop the top comment thing IT SUCKS! Like some comments are useful but sometimes too low rank to actually show...

started playing, noticed it had a "naughty!" filter on usernames, sighed and continued to play. Alright game, but horrendously boring and buggy.
