Having played this, I was sure I'd played something almost the same (or at least very similar) before. After a quick trawl through my kong history, I was right!:

You can upgrade your ships much more in Cursed Winds, too!

Are you SERIOUS Channel4? I've seen the latest 3D FPS require less than this for decent quality! Even with all the graphics and options turned off- I'm always crashing during the loading screens... it's no wonder!
It's a good game, but take it back to scratch and actually work on it this time!!!

This "top comments" thing is really only there to quiet dissenting voices. I read through a bunch that were "under rating threshold" and most of them were politely criticizing points in the game. Legitimate points that if fixed could help the game's playability. But instead of being seen, and possibly addressed, they get buried... Sad really...

it just spreads after awhile, making it less effective against massed infantry- Which, when used against enemy ships, is less an issue since there's such a large target. Many more projectiles each dealing low damage that spread/random fire would be much more appropriate. Chain shot as well was used for destroying rigging and leaving large gaping holes in the ships, due to the linked cannonballs- they were sub-bore cannonballs linked with chain. They had a less effective range than regular cannonballs, but they certainly didn't just drop off as much sooner as you illustrate.
Still, for what it is, it's not that bad.

It is so annoying that even if I try to be excellent at multiplayer, even 12.000 points (playing about 40 minutes) of experience isn't enough, because in singleplayer you can get 6.000 points having finished only one mission in almost 2 minutes!
In multiplayer we should gain much more experience, so that in high scores I could see who is the the best at MULTIPLAYER, beacuse it's much harder and more challenging than these damn missions with computer!

what the hell is up with the shooting. Pick a side it shoots from...it makes it so hard to do anythign when you dont know which side its going to shoot out of next....

ok, you have done some adjustments, still: cannon ball of enemies sometimes disappear, own cannon ball do fly in an vector WITH the on ships speed, looks really weird when you are on high speed, you still can hit land without damage, screen is still somewhat small, and wind system is not that god either, you can sail directly against the wind sometimes.
3/5 now...

Great game, great features, great physics but wtf is this 'defend' crap? I don't want to lose every time a ship sinks dead in the water. I was expecting massive sea battles in the single player not just futile rescue missions.

really in the old days they didnt drop anchor EVERYTIME they needed to slow down it was annoying and difficult to kill the enemy because they can actually move fluidly and we cant good game no it would be a very good game if only u made a new turning scheme unfourtunately 1/5

Nice game, but it would be really helpfull (and more realisitc0 if we had more options other than full sail and wiegh anchor. Atleast a half sail option

Great game but during the navigation and protection missions it is almost impossible to get in the checkpoints and dodge the barrels. Then trying to protect boats from ships is also quite hard 4/5 great game though.

Also I haven't seen any indication that the chain shot actually does what it is supposed to do, i.e. take down an enemy's sails so it can't move effectively. It just seems to be another range/damage combination.

Hw do you reduce framerates or quality because its getting rediculus that i can play multiplayer 1 / 5 intill it has lower quality button or stops the framerate problem

Really nice concept. We don't get to see a lot of games like this one. It has very nice ideas, but, unfortunetly, very bad features as well. Nice wind physics, but we should be able to control de acceleration a little bit more (besides dropping the ancor, should be possible to sail with 0 up to 3 sails "opened"). The handling is also terrible, it ruins most of the game fun, as well as the auto-zoom (should be controlled by the user). I agree that buying and improving parts of the ship would be just awesome, but the crew idea is very clever. Last thing is...the loot disappears too soon, sometimes I just kept going round and round the loot because of the bad handling and I lost it. Also, when you accomplish the objetives, you don´t have time to sail over the loot. We always lose the last ship loot. Very original game: 4/5..but I, as many other people, expect to see some improvements, as this game has so much potential

this game drives me mad, i need just 1 lvl for the arcade 6. but cant get any other weapons. whatever i do or try. i dont get to use the other weapons, any1 help me?

Excellent. One of the best games on Kongregate so far. Only letdown is that it's so short. Kudos to the people who made it - be great to have a larger version. I really enjoyed it.
