It's almost as difficult a task to accept an invite from a friend as it is to play the game, may as well rename the game to "Spam-central".

Sorry, the game hasn't been woking properly the past few weeks. I just made an update so now it's working! Please let me know in the future if anything goes wrong.

Needs a couple rooms set for different ages.
I mean I'm a good player for my age but a beginner compared to people that are much older than me.

@ Sych: 1) The computer program that I have almost always takes 1 second per move (unless the position is very complex); 2) You don't need to use it till the very end, just use it to break them (takes about 30 turns) and then play yourself; 3) If the above doesn't convince you, I challenge you to play a 5 min game with me where I'll be using my program :)

An average game has about 40 moves. Unless the program they use is a blitz style, the computer will take a few seconds for each move. This combined with you having to input your opponents moves as you play the computer, then swapping tabs to play the computers move, chances are you will run out of time half way through the 5 minute game.

@ Nathan: actually it's pretty easy to use a chess program for help even if a game is at least 5 minutes long... that's why i always play 3-4 minutes

Warning to others: Avoid games that are 20 minutes or longer, theres a high chance your opponent is using a computer for help.

Was having a great game, and it came to a point where I needed to castle. I didn't know how and my opponent would not tell me. There was no instruction that I could find and ended up forfieting while trying to figure out how. Ruined your game but you could change it for people who play it in the future.

Please add a click to move option. Dragging and accidentally dropping a piece short has ruined too many games (by myself and my opponents) and your mouse/trackpad choice should have no bearing on a decent game of chess...

it would be good if in addition to a time limit for the whole game there was also a limit of 1 minute for each move to prevent people from just letting the timer run out so you give up

We need the ability to block games from certain players. The practice of letting time run out is a very common rude behavior on this site and we need to be able to block games from such players.

so sick of these 1-min game spammers like zur who trick you into playing their super fast pc's and play to win solely on time. wish this site would stop these losers from this underhanded trickery

Maybe if the Play Now button would only send invites to other people who had pressed the Play now button.
Or maybe there could be a check box to receive play now invites or not.

I'm gonna rate this 2/5. It works and everything but it should display the enemy's last move in case you blinked and missed it. Also, a time limit pretty much ruins chess. I can't play when I have 20 seconds per turn.

This is great ppl take forever to move.
So I was in a 30minute game and he wasn't moving so i decided to go eat dinner.
When i came back I was only down by 2min.
:D
