Grow the plant as big and complex as you want and use it to defend against the ants.
In level mode grow your plant to the goal plant size or exterminate all of the drones depending on the level.
In endless mode grow your plant as big as possible.

Instructions
Change the game mode between levels and endless in the titlescreen options menu. If the ants kill the main plant then the plant dies, protect the plant by clicking on a stem and a menu will pop up to either spawn a sprout or evolve the stem. You can only evolve a stem into a root if it doesn't have a sprout on it. Roots will make the plant spawn more stems at their location towards the sun. Stems can't grow over other stems though. The green bar is the stem's health and the purple bar is the nutrients for the entire plant. Nutrients are used to spawn sprouts or to evolve the plant. When clicking on the plant or a root to blue bar is the water for the plant. If the water runs out the plant will start to take damage. HighScores on Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme are the highest level that is beaten. HighScores on Endless are how many ants killed.

- ants dont move in a predictable manner, making thorns useless. they sometimes walk long way past thorns to attack other things.

- chrisperone,I found a bug while playing this game on your website. I think its rare, or maybe a glitch instead, but when I was playing on dirt on easy in endless mode a worrior ant cut the plant. I think it might be TWO bugs together, but 1. the plant had a space between a stem and it still grew! 2. ants started going over my thorn stems! the thorns still did damage but these are way EXTREMELY creepy! I wonder if anyone else got these bugs as well [or maybe glitches].
