Yeah, other than the grid size thing, the defense blocks need to be done away with as they serve no purpose whatsoever. They reduce incoming damage for that turn, then they wear off. That's it. That's worse than literally anything else you could do. That's just barely better than simply giving up a turn, and all it takes is one or two to in your grid completely screw you up for a whole battle, as you have two options; waste a turn/turns getting rid of them, or ignore them and let them screw up your combos and take up what tiny bit of space you have. Why would something like that even exist? Second, there needs to be a restart button. That way when I get a grid with, say, 3 separate defense blocks in it I can restart rather than getting frustrated and just refreshing my window.

Good game that could be great with minor tweaks. - Adjust grid size, or allow different chains. Make the item store compare your installed gear with the one being purchased. Needs better tutorial info (controls, chains, monsters, attacks). Special items are useless now, too expensive.

I find this game exasperating in that I REALLY want to like it, but it has so much keeping it from really shining: 1) The grid is too small. You have 7 different elements, only 12 squares to fit them into. 2) Rename the achievements, PLEASE. "Trophies" are a part of gameplay, very misleading. Also, a finite number is NOT a good way to purchase limited use items. 3) Explain resistance. Do I hit twice with an off element? Or will excess power overcome the difference? Also, explain power attacks more explicitly. 4) Nice but not mandatory: A) A way to purchase lower level equipment IE: I want to replace my lvl 2 gun for a lvl 5, but I'm lvl 10. B) A way to leave the battle. I have more than once clicked on the wrong battle or had such a CRAPPY starting grid that I wanted a mulligan. C) And last, the trophy requirements for early levels are ridiculous before leveling up grinding style (Tip: grinding is BAD). Perfect attacking each enemy requires combos of four or five which is not feasible.

you should be aloud to stop the chain early, or when the person your attacking dies, move on to the next person if you still have attacks to use. i dont want to waste 4 of my best attacks on an enemy with 3 health.

Love the idea, but needs A LOT of work.. like explaining the "resist" thing, the colors above the enemies, sell prices etc.. not to mention the lag.
For that, 3/5.

Far to many problems with the game for more then 3 stars.
The grid is far to small to make meaningful combo's and you can get grids with no combo at all meaning you can't break even a single shield. This is just fairly boring.
The skills might as well not exist except the basic one. Most games are finished before you get enough points to use them, or at least the gold medal is gone anyway.
The tech counter at the top, which I think is suppose to grow in size as it goes up, doesn't shrink again so it was taking up over half of the play area.
The story was nice, but the game play just wasn't good enough to match it.

I dont understand this, everytime I finish a battle I recieve a trophy, but when I open the tropy shop it says I have ONE TROPHY, refreshing doesnt work either?

5/5 and faved, I love it! Although I already highly enjoy this game as is, I still agree with other people on what can be improved. Maybe a slightly bigger grid, a way to quit out of battles, make it to where your left over combo attacks will go to the next enemy instead of going to waste, better explanations of what gems on the board do (maybe make it to where if you hover over a gem it tells you what it does), vampire attacks giving you a small portion of health, and a explanation of what upgrading a skill will improve about it (For example: Hovering your mouse over the + when about to upgrade your Life skill can read "Increases max HP by two").

I've gotta say, I'm really enjoying this game. I'm not too happy about how hard the game chugs during combat, I just fought the black witch after getting a gold trophy on every level, and it crashed. :(

As well as all the issues in the top-rated comments, the game suffers from memory leak, slowing to a crawl and needing refreshing after a few chapters. Plus the Heath and Defence pickups seem worthless, and often just in the way. The techs are of little help, as the battles are often over before you have enough points to use one.
A fun distraction, and very well made, but the graphical polish serves to highlight the core mechanical failures.

I just did a 7-hit combo that did 28 damage per hit but... didn't. The creature didn't suffer anything. I didn't miss, I was working away at their shields, to no avail.

i d realy like to be able to instantly see the difference between a item i want to buy and the item i have equiped at the moment

This is a great concept in the game. But the small combat grid breaks it. Instructing the player to play strategically with this kind of sheer luck-based combat seems ridiculus. 2/5 until you fix this.

This thing has many bugs... I dropped my gun on the equipment place and now i dont have it any more. I am trying to kill one guy right now and he can't be killed. His life is staying the same even though it says I am damaging him. Frustrating!!

It is rather pointless having skill point distribution for a random grid. Fix it by making added skill points increase the chance of that particular tile to appear on the grid

It would be good if there would be a way to choose wich enemy you can attack, instead setting combo's together and see it get wasted because it attacks another enemy

for anyone having trouble selecting a target with mouse click, click on the background and then you should be able to use the up/down arrow keys to select target. Works in IE anyway.

decent game but had to quit after the witch because my tech points got so big i could not click on anything because it was trying to select the text

It's incredibly annoying to have a big combo wasted if you kill the opponent with the first few attacks. When you still have attacks left after you have killed an opponent, you should automatically use the rest of the attacks on another, preferably giving the highest priority to one with armor that's weak against your attacks.
