The danger zones, where you are attacked by hordes of 20+ zombies breaking through the roof or coming from off-screen are a cool idea, but when it starts the very second you enter a new area your companion is immediately attacked by dozens of zombies and won't move away far enough to be revived. It's pretty much an automated perma death for your companion, which is poor design. Easy fix: a few seconds of delay before a horde attacks.

Word of advice: never, EVER give your companion a melee weapon. They go all, "I'M F***ING SUPERMAN" and sprint into hordes of zombies.
I just gave Hank a good ol' RPG. He has a bunch of RPG rounds that he's apparently been hiding from me, and he doesn't get himself killed on purpose. Everyone wins!

I found a towel in the first house and you know what I did? I brought it with me and kicked some zombie ass. Don't forget your towel folks.

hank: *crying* thank you, thank you for getting my dads gun. *hank tells long story about how him and his dad went and shot soda cans when he was little with this very gun.* I will cherish this forever ;-;
you: wanna trade that rifle for this damaged pipe??
hank: k.

GOD I love finding cereal in bathrooms. Man, breakfast while brushing my teeth and taking my dump. The perfect household.

Why does my storage box hold only so little? And in pounds, not size? I can hold 120 and sprint, my box holds 30 and it sits there. Pick up the slack, box!

Not For Journal: found an Spec-Ops M249 today, I found it in the trash... amazingly it's brand-spaking new! Guess what I found in the gun cabinet... Scrap Paper!

I'd like to be able to see the stats of an item I'm about to buy. How should I know that a mace of all things does less damage than a shovel?
Yeah, would take a chunky re-work at this stage. You can however check out the very thorough fan run wiki for full stats:

Also, the shovel has higher damage, but the mace has a much higher knockback chance.

When i talked to the guy who had me search for items to make me weapons, i was really hoping that a person like that would show up throughout the game, having me find junk parts to modify or create new weapons. I was sorely dissapointed.
Dont tease like that. It would have been cool if you ran into a gunsmith who could change the choke on a shotgun for a wider/smaller spread, or a guy who could sharpen dull weapons, ect.
These are just examples.

did anyone else feel as if the crosshairs were more of a suggestion in this game than aiming? I was looking at an infected, point blank, with a rifle, long gun skill of 110, and it took me a clip and a half to even hit the little bugger.

Me: Okay, so thats Kelly, shes the medic, and thats Max, the guy we dont give sharp things to. Wife: Why dont you give sharp things to Max? (gives max a knife, max runs into a zombie horde and dies) Me: Thats why.

To the dev: If the main character can be revived, the partner should also be able to be revived. Game becomes difficult when the partner is forever gone if one should die when a partner dies.
I'll admit that the companion survivors didn't work out quite as I'd wanted.

I intended on adding more, but the issue was that they required quests in order to follow you. I got caught up in that being a requirement when it really should have been simpler to implement. As a result there's only the two that you see in the game.

To keep them alive, my only hint is to give them a good weapon (approach them and press G), perhaps one that you don't have the ammunition for.

Everything in the world is going to hell. The zombie apocalypse is taking place. Everyone is at war with each other... But people still pay money for the King shop instead of shooting him down and stealing everything.

*Gives companion a melee weapon*
"THIS IS MOTHERF*CKING SPARTA!!!!!!!"

I forgot to say this earlier but when I saw the huge Union City map I'd got real excited because I love exploring places and killing zombies there and looting stuff, but was disappointed when I saw how little we actually got to explore out of the whole map. Wish there was more of this game that I could play

here's a tip for everyone if you haven't noticed yet. pressing g will not help your fallen companion. what you need to do is save game, then save and quit, and reload on that same room and he'll be up and dancing again :) thumbs up if you found this helpful +
